Get more details about Advanced WiFi. ki-info-circle-f Icon Note: To access Advanced WiFi features, you'll need to download the My Spectrum app and sign in using your Spectrum username and password. MANAGE DEVICES ON YOUR NETWORK View Connected Devices To view and manage the devices connected to your WiFi network: 1. Sign in to the My Spectrum app. Get sign-in help. 2. Select Services from the bottom menu. 3. Within “Your Spectrum Network,” select Manage Devices. 4. You can view and filter devices using Device Status. Select from Show All, Connected, Disconnected or Paused devices. Pause/Unpause WiFi Connection You can use Advanced WiFi to manually disconnect individual devices from your network. This can be useful for preventing unauthorized connections, as well as for parents supervising children's internet usage. To pause or unpause a device's ability to connect to your WiFi network: 1. Select Services from the menu at the bottom. 2. Go to WiFi > Manage Devices to see the devices on your network. 3. Swipe from right to left on the device you'd like to pause. 4. Select the Pause icon at the right-hand side of your screen. 5. A confirmation message will appear. Select Pause again to confirm. To unpause a device's connection, swipe from right to left on a paused device and select Unpause. ki-info-circle-f Icon Note: When you pause or unpause a device's WiFi connection, your new settings may take a few minutes to take effect. Scheduled Pause/Unpause WiFi Connection You can schedule a set time or day to pause your devices. To create a scheduled pause: 1. Select Services from the bottom menu. 2. Go to Your Spectrum Network > Manage Devices to see the devices on your network. 3. Swipe from right to left on the device whose connection you'd like to pause. 4. Select the Schedule option at the right-hand side of your screen. 5. Select the days and times you want to pause your device. 6. Select Save at the top right. Device Groups Create device groups that allow you to manage several devices all at once. To create a device group: 1. Select Services from the menu at the bottom. 2. Go to WiFi > Manage Devices to view devices on your network. 3. Select the Groups tab at the top right. 4. Select Create Group. 5. Create a Group Name and Select Devices that you want in the group. 6. Select Save in the top right to create the group. You can add a manual or scheduled pause to all devices in the group. ki-info-circle-f Icon Note: You can edit the group name and included devices, or delete the group at any time from the Groups section of Manage Devices. View Device Details To view device details: 1. Select Services from the bottom menu. 2. Go to WiFi > Manage Devices. 3. Select the device you want to view. From this screen, you can: * Manually pause or create a pause schedule for the device. * Give the device a nickname. * View device info such as device type, manufacturer, and model. * Select device info for detailed info, such as IP address, hostname, MAC address, and connection type (WiFi or Ethernet). * Select Need Help? If you're having connectivity issues. Nickname Device To nickname a device: 1. Select Services from the bottom menu. 2. Go to WiFi > Manage Devices and select the device you'd like to edit. 3. Select Edit Device Name. 4. Select the device and use the keyboard to assign a nickname. 4. Select Save. MANAGE YOUR WIFI NETWORK NAME & PASSWORD With Advanced WiFi, you can quickly and easily edit your network settings to improve your network security. To change your WiFi network name and password: 1. Sign in to the My Spectrum app. Get sign-in help. 2. Select Services from the bottom menu. 3. Go to Your Spectrum Network and select your Network Name. 4. Click Edit Network Info to change your network name, or share your network 5. Edit your network name and password as desired. Make sure to write down your new network name and password for your records. Spectrum WiFi Pods To edit a pod name: 1. Select Services from the bottom menu. 2. Go to WiFi and select the pod you want to update. 3. Select Edit Pod Name at the bottom of the page. 4. Edit the pod name and select Save. The LED on the pod will flash green during renaming so you can identify which pod you're updating. Locate Pod You can use Advanced WiFi to help locate a specific pod. To locate a pod: 1. Select Services from the bottom menu. 2. Go to WiFi and select a pod to locate. 3. Select Locate Pod at the bottom of the page. 4. Select Turn On LED. The pod will flash green to help you find it.
