Metro WOMAN PUMMELED ON NYC SUBWAY AFTER BEING ORDERED TO ‘LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE’ By Amanda Woods May 26, 2023 | 10:07am An attacker pummeled a 52-year-old woman on a Queens train after ordering her to “look somewhere else,” cops said Friday. The victim was riding a southbound E train approaching Queens Plaza around 10:45 a.m. Wednesday when the man approached her and made the demand, police said. He then punched her multiple times in the head, police said. Advertisement When the train stopped at the station, the assailant ran off, cops said. A 52-year-old woman was pummeled on a Queens train by a suspect who told her to “look somewhere else,” cops said. NYPD The victim stayed on the train until it reached the Court Square station, police said. She was later taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in stable condition, with non-life-threatening injuries to her head. Advertisement Police released surveillance images of the on-the-lam suspect Thursday. The victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.Seth Gottfried He is believed to be in his 30s, around 6 feet tall and 150 pounds, with a dark complexion and thin build. He was last seen wearing a white and blue hooded shirt and light blue jeans. Advertisement The incident comes days after a similar assault at the same station, cops said. A 69-year-old woman was riding a Manhattan-bound E train approaching Queens Plaza the afternoon of May 19 when a man punched her once in the head without saying a word, authorities said. Police are still looking for that suspect, as well.
