Fourteen countries recognize June as Pride month and most of their schools fly the rainbow flag in honor of LGBTQ beliefs/values. Recent news reports indicate a backlash from a large number of students, especially Muslims who have protested flying this emblem correlating with curriculum teaching supportive of the LGBTQ worldview. This backlash raises important questions, such as, “What is the Muslim attitude toward homosexuality?” And, “What does the rainbow signify?" (especially for Christians and Muslims who esteem Noah/Nooh – the prophet to whom God showed a rainbow as a sign that he would never again destroy the world by water). Read on... * IT'S A MYSTERY The Gospel proclaims that God loves every human being he created, so it shouldn't be surprising that he wants us to love him in return. What better way to encourage us to seek him than to reveal himself little by little so that we come to know him more and more. God said, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” He uses prophecies and proverbs, parables and paradoxes, riddles and sayings of the wise to keep us engaged, intrigued and invested on the journey of discovering how magnificent and delightful he is. As it is written, “The one thing I ask of the Lord—the thing I seek most—is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, delighting in the Lord’s perfections.” So then, “Let us press on to know him.” Read on...
