We did the "Over and Under the Rhine" Tour with Bill. Bill is awesome and so
knowledgeable. He grew up in the town and the brewery industry. We plan to look
Bill up again when we come back in Oct. for Blink festival.

I bought tickets for a tour back in January but was late and missed it; however,
Aaron (director) gave me credit for another tour which I highly appreciated. We
- my father and I - went on the Cellars, Saloons & Streetcars Tour and had a
fantastic time. Our guide, Aaron, was extremely knowledgeable and personable. If
you're in Cincinnati looking for an interesting activity to do, then I highly
recommend purchasing tickets to a tour!

We tend to do a lot of tours when we travel and have done numerous beer and
booze related tours over the years. The best compliment I can think of is that
on this tour I learned several really interesting things. After thinking these
tours were all the same this one threw me for a loop. The guide was really
knowledgeable and seemed to enjoy the subject matter a lot.

I retired from 30 years in the National Park Service. I consider the NPS to be
the standard for interpretation. Our guide, Aaron, is among the top three guides
I’ve experienced. His knowledge of Cincinnati’s brewing history was expected,
but Aaron’s enthusiasm and ability to describe these long-shuttered breweries in
historic and modern context was outstanding. We will certainly return to
experience other tours.

TAKING YOUR HISTORIC BREWERY TOUR IN CINCINNATI

Please check your ticket to ensure the correct starting location, as different
tours begin at different locations. Plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to the tour
start time in order to check in and fill out a liability waiver. Allow enough
time for parking, especially on the weekends, as your tour guide typically
cannot wait for late arrivals. Tours involve walking outside and many include
going up and down steep stairs. Comfortable shoes (no open toes or heels) are
recommended. 

Photography is allowed, however we ask you be respectful of other participants.
Some tours are not recommended for young children (under 18 requires parental
approval), so please keep this in mind when booking. Tours run rain or shine. No
alcohol is allowed on the tour when on public streets and private buildings, and
no outside alcohol is allowed.

Where Does The Tour Start?

We offer a variety of tours throughout the year and they start at different
locations. Below is a list of the tours and their starting locations:

Where Do I Park?
Public parking is available at Findlay Market or in the new parking garage
located on the west side of the market and accessible from Langston Street off
Central Parkway. The garage address is 1810 Logan Street. Additionally, free
parking can sometimes be found along McMicken Avenue and Race Street, just a
couple blocks north of the market.
 
Select tours begin and end at the Moerlein Lager House, located at 115 Joe
Nuxhall Way, near Smale Riverfront Park at the Banks. Public parking is
available in the Central Riverfront Garage.
 
For tours beginning at Northern Row Brewery & Distillery (111 West McMicken
Ave.), there is a public lot located next door to the taproom. 
 
How Do I Book A Tour?

CLICK HERE to see a full list of tours. Select your desired tour and follow the
instructions including entering your credit card information. Once your
transaction is complete, you will receive an emailed ticket that will serve as
your record of the purchase.

Sometimes tickets are sent to your “Spam” or “Promotions” folders, so please
check there first if you do not see them. No physical tickets are sent out so
please print and bring this ticket with you to the tour (either printed out or
on your phone). If you have problems booking please contact us at

Are Children Allowed On The Tour??

Yes, children 10 & up are welcome on most tours and our Built on Beer Tour is
all ages with discounted tickets available. However, the Cellars & Saloons
Brunch Tour and the Cincinnati Brewing & Distilling Tour is 18 & up and the
Built on Beer Brew Bus Tour is 21 & up.

What If I Have Difficulty Walking Long Distances?

Mobility Concerns: If you would like to take a tour with us, but you or a member
of your group has difficulty walking long distances, traversing stairs or uneven
surfaces, we can make arrangements to potentially suit your needs. Please
contact us at tours@brewingheritagetrail.org or (513) 604-9812 for details.

Do You Offer Private, Custom, Or Group Tours?

We welcome private tours outside of our normal tour schedule. You can choose one
of our standard tours or we can customize one for you. Tours are great for
business outings, bachelor and bachelorette parties, family outings, and more!
We can also assist with partners at local breweries and restaurants for
tastings, food, and more. Click HERE for more info!

Do You Offer Donated Tickets For Non-Profits?

We offer qualified non-profits and fundraisers a pair of tour tickets to be used
for fundraising events. Start by filling out the tour form below and we will

How Do I Book With A Gift Card?

Gift Certificates and discounts MUST be redeemed online, and are NOT valid in
person. Select your desired tour and number of tickets either from either the
list of tours or the calendar. Write your coupon code, gift certificate code, or
other discount code in the discount box after selecting your tickets and hit
“apply” and the discount should be applied prior to entering your credit card
information. Once your transaction is complete, you will receive an emailed
ticket that will serve as your record of the purchase.

We have a 15% discount on regularly scheduled tours when 8 or more tickets are
purchased during the same transaction. 

What Is Your Email Policy?

list. We do not sell or share this list or any other contact information with
any other organizations or businesses. You may unsubscribe from these emails at
any time.

Disclaimers & Policies

Tickets are non-refundable with less than 48 hours notice (via phone or email)
prior to the tour/event starting. Tickets may be substituted for future credit
or a different tour at the discretion of management. Please do not purchase
tickets through a discount site like Groupon or CincySavers, as we currently do
not have a relationship with any of these companies and we do not accept their
coupons.

Brewing Heritage Trail23 hours ago

Another Brewsday and another day of clean-up and repairs of the former Bruckmann
Brewery site are in the books! We finished replacing the roof on the cellar
access shed, removed countless bags of trash and buckets of muck from the
lagering cellars, and continued our repairs of the staircase. Our volunteers did
a fantastic job keeping the project moving forward, so we're still on schedule
to open things up for tours in the spring!

We plan to return to the site on Saturday, December 7, to continue our repairs

It's Brewsday, so I thought I'd share some images from this weekend when we
began repairs and clean-up at the historic Bruckmann Brewery site! A huge THANK
YOU to all of the volunteers that showed up to help and especially Cody, who
owns the section of the brewery complex where we were working. Our organization
really appreciates his dedication to preserving local brewing history, as well
as his willingness to share this history with the community.

There is quite a bit to do at the site, but we began by removing the collapsing
roof of the underground cellar access shed and started to build a new roof.
There was quite a bit of debris inside the stairs from both the demolition and
also from random things accumulating over the decades. We also had to pump about
two feet of water out of the underground lagering cellars!

It was a great start and we plan to continue the work next weekend, hopefully
completing the roof and starting some repairs on the stairs, then it's on to the
cellars for clean-up and repairs! We're looking for additional volunteers in
November and December, so if you'd like to help, go to the volunteer page of our

It's Brewsday! Check out this short video of the former Bruckmann Brewery
cellars we were exploring this morning with our friend The Gnarly Gnome! The
Brewing Heritage Trail is planning on opening this space up to tours in 2025,
but there's a lot of work to do first, so stay tuned for updates and ways you
can volunteer on the project in the coming months!

It's Brewsday and coincidentally our fundraiser at FigLeaf Brewing Company is
today! Stop on by their taproom anytime from open to close and for every pint
purchased, they will make a $1 donation to our organization! We'll have some
Brewing Heritage Trail representatives onsite from 5-8pm to talk with attendees
about our current and upcoming projects, as well as raffle off some tour
tickets, so hopefully we'll see you there!
