MCDONALD’S DROPS MARIAH CAREY MERCHANDISE COLLECTION AMID HOLIDAY MENU RELEASE

Fast food giant McDonald's was struck by hackers but the company said payment
information was not accessed

Just in time for the release of its Mariah Menu, McDonald’s (MCD) is dropping
some Mariah Carey merchandise that will include beanies and T-shirts to get
customers in the holiday spirit.

The Mariah x McDonald’s collection can be purchased on Dec. 15 and Dec. 21 by
redeeming the Mariah Menu deal of the day– a bakery item on Dec. 15, and Sausage
McMuffin with Egg on Dec. 21– through the Mobile Order & Pay app with a $1
minimum purchase.

On Dec. 15, a beanie with Carey’s signature is being offered, and on Dec. 21, a
T-shirt with a throwback photo of Carey enjoying a McDonald’s cheeseburger is
being featured.

In a statement, Carey said about the merchandise collection, “Just like so many
of my fans, I have such amazing memories with McDonald's over the years. I
always get a sense of nostalgia when I see the Golden Arches, so creating
throwback merch with one of my favorite photos from the 90s was really fun for
me.”



Approximately 10,000 customers will be able to claim the merchandise items on
both days.

McDonald’s Mariah Menu begins on Dec. 13 and will offer a free menu item each
day with a $1 minimum order when purchased on the McDonald’s app.

The Mariah Menu includes:

 * Dec. 13: Big Mac
 * Dec. 14: McChicken
 * Dec. 15: Bakery Item
 * Dec: 16: 6-piece Chicken McNuggets
 * Dec. 17: Cheeseburger
 * Dec. 18: Hotcakes
 * Dec. 19: McDouble
 * Dec. 20: Apple Pie
 * Dec. 21: Sausage McMuffin with Egg
 * Dec. 22: Double Cheeseburger
 * Dec. 23 Sausage Biscuit
 * Dec. 24. Chocolate Chip Cookies

McDonald’s is doubling down on Carey’s star power during the holiday season with
the Mariah Menu in hopes of attracting more customers to its restaurants. Carey,
who has 10.4 million followers on Instagram, has one of the most-well played
songs of the holidays with “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”

As of Monday at 12:12 p.m. EST, shares of McDonald's were trading at $255.71, up
$6.38 or 2.56%.
