SERVICES

WORKINGKNOWLEDGE TOUCHES ALL ASPECTS OF LEARNING.

We can provide your organization with these services:

 * Audience, job task, and learning technology analysis
 * Custom instructional design and course development
 * Process documentation and optimization
 * Business analysis and RFI/RFP development for complex systems
 * Learning Management Systems (LMS) selection and setup

INSTRUCTIONAL DELIVERY METHODS

Based on your needs, we can develop course materials for virtually any delivery
medium:

 * Self-paced (eLearning and paper-based)
 * Instructor-led (collaborative Web-based learning and live seminars and
   classes)

Click on any step in our process to learn more.

ANALYSIS

WorkingKnowledge has extensive experience performing training needs analyses in
three primary areas. Each of these areas has direct impact on business bottom
lines by helping focus resources on the solution that yields maximum results.

 * Audience Analysis — A vital, but often overlooked, component of all training
projects is understanding who the target audiences are, what they already
know, what motivates them, and what roadblocks might prevent them from
benefiting from a proposed training effort. WorkingKnowledge finds out
everything your organization should know about internal and external
audiences before training interventions are proposed or developed.
 * Job Task Analysis — Another key focus involves identifying the specific tasks
that the target audience must know how to do and the level of performance
expected. This data is integral to defining the overall goals of the training
   intervention.
 * Learning Technology Analysis — WorkingKnowledge ensures that the project will
be technically effective in the field. This analysis can range from
identifying the hardware and learning space requirements for a classroom
presentation to the specific bandwidth, browser, and plug-in requirements for
   Web-based training.

We then synthesize findings from these areas into solutions unique to each
organization.

Go to Design →

DESIGN

During the Design phase, WorkingKnowledge interweaves audience and content
characteristics to create a high-level plan for effective learning. We review
our detailed training recommendations with you to ensure they meet your needs.

During this phase we generate what is essentially a blueprint for all
development. The plan describes everything about the project, from the audiences
and objectives to the layout of deliverables and learner assessment strategies.

Go to Development →

DEVELOPMENT

Our staff can produce all materials described in the Design phase. From writers
and instructional designers to programmers and QA specialists, WorkingKnowledge
brings only the highest-quality personnel to your projects. We’ll never staff
your mission-critical efforts with entry-level talent.

In the Development phase we produce instructional deliverables (Web pages,
guides, job aids, graphics, etc.) and test them against SME review, end-user
focus groups, etc.

Go to Implementation →

IMPLEMENTATION

Implementation is the controlled or general rollout of your learning events.
WorkingKnowledge can simply hand off a finished product for you to manage, or we
can help implement deliverables in your LMS and manage the release directly.

And if you don’t have an LMS, we can help find one that’s right for you. We have
extensive experience identifying the unique needs of various types of
organizations and aligning them with the most appropriate technological
solutions.

Go to Evaluation →

EVALUATION

The measure of success of a learning solution is typically indicated by the
learner’s effective performance on the job. If requested, WorkingKnowledge can
plan and conduct formative and summative evaluations. We will determine the
effectiveness of the courseware with the initial audience and identify changes
that need to be made for delivery to other audiences.

The reason Evaluation is at the center of our ADDIE model is that for us it is a
constant, ongoing aspect of the cycle. We will check in at each step of the way
to ensure your project is heading in the direction you want.

KEN SALTZ

Ken holds a Master’s degree in Educational Technology from San Diego State
University. He has more than 20 years of experience analyzing, designing,
developing, and implementing performance-centered training solutions for Fortune
500 companies, higher-ed, and government agencies.

Ken has a passion for the tech side of distance learning, but he also enjoys the
front-end task, audience, and curriculum analysis that enables us to really
understand our clients. It’s this understanding that allows WorkingKnowledge to
align the appropriate technology with our clients' specific needs and select
just the right approach to create tangible, measurable results.

When not running WorkingKnowledge, Ken can be found hiking with his family and
the dog, playing guitar, or geeking out on coffee and Mexican cooking.
