CHECKOUT VIDEO. Disasters are as old as human history, however the dramatic increase and damage caused by them in the recent past have become a cause for National and International concern .Over the past decade, the number of natural and manmade disaster has climbed inexorably. The losses caused by various forms of disaster are normally too major for the affected to recover in time or at worst scenario never recover at all leading to misery and pain. SUKOS DM Foundation has just the right solution to ensure we as a country and the world at large are prepared to face the consequences of disaster and ensure our lives and hard earned investment as individuals and a country is not washed down the drain and memory lane. OUR STRENGTH Despite the well organized and coordinated frameworks and mechanisms in place, there are still several gaps and challenges which complicate or impede the Disaster Risk Reduction efforts, one among these gaps and challenges includes Weak EWS (Early Warning Systems) due to lack of enough skilled manpower, equipment, technology and financial resources and Lack of funds to implement climate change related programs and disaster recovery It is to this effect that SUKOS-DMF (Suleiman Kova Security and Disaster Management Foundation) has prioritized on bringing on board and coordinating the private sector and Non-governmental organizations to prioritize on the agenda of disaster management among others and compliment or supplement government efforts on Disaster Risk Reduction efforts.
