ELI'S STORY: HELMET THERAPY TO TREAT PLAGIOCEPHALY MADE A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE



When a flat spot on Eli's head resulted in a torticollis and plagiocephaly
diagnosis, his parents turned to Children's Helmet Clinic and Plastics &
Reconstructive Surgery team for a custom solution to give their baby a positive
outcome.

KARTER'S STORY



For Karter, a 4-year-old from Hastings, Neb., a ride on his dad’s lawn mower is
nothing out of the ordinary. However, on April 13, 2022, this routine father-son
task resulted in an accidental injury that required transport to Children’s via
helicopter. A collaborative effort from Children’s Orthopedic and Plastic and
Reconstructive Surgery teams ensured the best outcome for Karter. After 17
surgeries, a 36-night stay in the hospital and ongoing rehabilitation efforts,
Karter is back to the energetic activities he enjoys.
