ABOUT MOTABILITY

Getting about and retaining independence are two elements of our day-to-day
lives that are important to everybody. If you have a disability, or are
physically impaired in any way, being able to drive can often be an ideal
solution to fulfilling those elements, made possible through our versatile and
expansive range of Motability vehicles. Whether you’re a driver with a
disability looking for a vehicle that caters to your individual requirements, or
are a family member, friend or carer, looking for an adaptable solution to
driving on behalf of a disabled person, our friendly and knowledgeable team can
guide you through the available options and ensure you get on the road with the
right vehicle, in safety and comfort.

To qualify for Motability you, or a child in your care, must be receiving one of
the following benefits: Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living
Allowance or War Pensioners Mobility Supplement. But you don’t have to be the
driver yourself. If you’ve any doubts, please get in touch.

AM I ELIGIBLE?


To be eligible to join the Motability Scheme, you need to receive one of the
following mobility allowances and you must have at least 12 months’ award length
remaining.



 * Enhanced Rate Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (ERMC PIP)
 * Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance (HRMC DLA)
 * War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
 * Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)

THE BENEFITS OF THE MOTABILITY SCHEME

Not only will you have the freedom provided by a brand new car, but you will
also enjoy worry free motoring, guaranteed. You can expect the following
benefits once you’ve joined the scheme:

Wide Range of Vehicles

From fuel-efficient smaller vehicles to roomy estates, Multi-purpose vehicles
(MPV) and SUVs, with a vast range to suit all requirements and budgets.

A huge range of adaptations are available if you need them, at low or no extra
cost when fitted at the start of your lease.




Insurance

Fully comprehensive insurance for up to 60,000 miles allowance over 3 years

Servicing, Maintenance and Roadside Assistance

The vehicles routine servicing and maintenance needs are covered as well as full
RAC breakdown assistance, replacement tyres, window / windscreen repair or
replacement and the vehicles annual car tax.



Additional Drivers

Up to 3 named drivers can use the vehicle. This does not mean that the disabled
person needs to be in the car for every journey. In practice, this means
other named drivers in the household can use the car for shopping and other
routine activities, as long as the disabled customer will benefit. 

Although almost everything is included, please note you will be responsible for
paying the following:

 * Fuel and consumables; such as screen wash
 * Optional extras not fitted as standard; ensure that you check the vehicle
   specification with your chosen dealership
 * Adaptations; some need an additional payment
 * Insurance claims; an insurance excess will apply on any claim for loss or
   damage. This excess amount varies depending on the age and experience of the
   driver (full details can be obtained on application).
 * Fines; any parking or speeding fines are your responsibility
 * Theft of, or damage to, personal belongings; these include wheelchairs, coats
   or mobile phones (full details can be obtained on application).

Once you have decided that the scheme is for you, it really couldn’t be simpler.

At Motorvogue we offer a wide range of vehicles with lower emissions and

Can adaptions be fitted?

There are generally three different categories of adaptations available.

Driving adaptations: These help to improve your driving experience by providing
assistance with speed control, steering and signalling for example. They can
vary from simple attachments to replacing existing controls.

Stowage adaptations: These allow you to store and transport your scooter or
wheelchair with the assistance of stowage systems such as a boot hoist, operated
by the simple touch of a button.

Access adaptations: These help you to get in and out of the car and can include
features such as swivel seats, transfer plates and electric person hoists.

are most suitable for you and the associated adaptations available on that
vehicle.

Compliance Ltd, who is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct
Authority (FCA No 497010). Automotive Compliance Ltd’s permissions as a
Principal Firm allows Motorvogue (Northampton) Ltd to act as a credit broker,
not as a lender, for the introduction to a limited number of lenders and to act
as an agent on behalf of the insurer for insurance distribution activities only.
We can introduce you to a selected panel of lenders, which includes manufacturer
lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent. An introduction to
a lender does not amount to independent financial advice and we act as their
agent for this introduction. Our approach is to introduce you first to the
manufacturer lender linked directly to the particular franchise you are
purchasing your vehicle from, who are usually able to offer the best available
package for you, taking into account both interest rates and other
contributions. If they are unable to make you an offer of finance, we then seek
to introduce you to whichever of the other lenders on our panel is able to make
the next best offer of finance for you. Our aim is to secure the best deal you
are eligible for from our panel of lenders. Lenders may pay a fixed commission
to us for introducing you to them, calculated by reference to the vehicle model
or amount you borrow. Different lenders may pay different commissions for such
introductions, and manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that
we represent may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our
vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing.
But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts
you pay under your finance agreement, all of which are set by the lender
concerned. If you ask us what the amount of commission is, we will tell you in
good time before the Finance agreement is executed. All finance applications are
subject to status, terms and conditions apply, UK residents only, 18’s or over.
