As an intern, the Dolby U program offers impactful, project-based work

Responsibilities: 

 * Perform software development, create test setups/experiments related to video
   playback on Windows platform.
 * Design, develop and execute test cases targeted to test a variety of
   cutting-edge Dolby Imaging/Video algorithms and software. 
 * Test and evaluate the Dolby Vision video processing technologies and new
   features with respect to reliability, accuracy, and usability. 
 * Provide feedback on specific features and record all bugs and issues
   encountered during testing. 
 * Maintain and enhance the test-setup including hardware, software, and Test
   Automation environments. 
 * Build tools for internal use to support software engineering best practices 
 * Produce and maintain useful and usable documentation of work 

 

Qualifications:

 * Studies in Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering with an emphasis
   and passion for imaging/video/multimedia technologies. 
 * Comfortable with fast paced scrum agile development cycle, multiple projects
   parallel working environment, willing to shift project priority and
   commitment with deliver. 
 * Experience with scripting languages: Python, Batch, Matlab, etc. 
 * Experience with source control tools: Git, Perforce, etc. 
 * Experience with Android or IOS development is a plus.
 * Plus, to be aware of video coding standards: H.264/AVC, H.265/HEVC, video
   formats, video interfaces, video test pattern generators, video bit-stream
   analyzers. 
 * Attention to details. Excellent communication and documentation skills.
   Results oriented with a passion to learn new technologies.

 

ELIGIBILITY

Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or
Electrical Engineering, or a related field; recent grads who are within 6 months
of graduation are also eligible to apply. Must be available to work full-time
Monday – Friday for 6 months between May/June 2022 – Nov/Dec 2023.

 

Start dates for the internship are as follows: (*note* these dates are not
flexible)

 * Monday, May 23, 2022
 * Monday, June 6, 2022
 * Monday, June 20, 2022
