WHAT IS AUTOCODE? Autocode is an automation software suite that allows you to instantly connect APIs together with code in response to HTTP (web) requests or SaaS events, like slack.command, stripe.charge.succeeded or shopify.order.created. You can think of it like a level up from traditional UI-based ("no-code" or "low-code") workflow automation towards a more sophisticated approach where integrations are treated like individual apps that you can code, share and more. Autocode is best utilized when your team is looking to automate with a degree of sophistication higher than "no-code", still wants to move quickly, and isn't afraid of either writing or learning to write a little bit of code. The Autocode software suite has five key components; * The App Platform: an auto-scaling, serverless cloud-hosting for your automations. * Our Online IDE: an in-browser code editor with API autocomplete, codegen and more. * The Autocode Standard Library: a library of SaaS and utility APIs that you can write to yourself. * API Authentication Management: a secure API credential store and management system. * Command Line and Local Tools: tooling for developers to integrate Autocode into their local environment and version control. Combined, these tools allow somebody to get started in Autocode with little to no professional development experience — and provide professionals enough flexibility to thrive and maintain full control over their code.
