Emotional Beatles fans broke down today as they heard Now And Then for the first
time - the band's 'masterpiece' new and final song sung by John Lennon and
debuted on the BBC and YouTube after 45 years in the making. 43 years after
Lennon 's death – and more than two decades on from George Harrison 's passing –
The Beatles have come together with the help of AI and audio tech pioneered by
Lord of the Rings and Get Back director Sir Peter Jackson. Sir Paul McCartney
(pictured recording the bass) said finishing the lost love song Now And Then
felt like the Fab Four were all back together again, declaring today: 'It's
probably the last Beatles song, and we have all played on it so it is a genuine
Beatles recording. Every time I thought, say I had a chance to ask John: "Hey
John, would you like us to finish this last song of yours?" I'm telling you, I
know the answer would have been: "Yeah".' Today at 2pm, the band's 'new' single
Now And Then was released to the exultation and excitement of tens of millions
of excited fans. Listening parties have been held all over the world, including
in their home city of Liverpool at The Cavern Club (bottom right) and the
Liverpool Beatles Museum (top right). Tears were shed as the song played. Liam
Gallagher tweeted: 'Now n Then absolutely incredible biblical celestial
heartbreaking and heartwarming all at the same time long live The Beatles LG x'.
BBC Radio 2 listeners, the first to hear it in the UK, said they were in tears
as it played. One, Gemma from Nottingham , said: 'Just wow. I got the shivers
when I heard the one, two at the beginning of the track. That was amazing. I’m
actually feeling a little bit emotional now'. Another said: 'I’m in tears
listening to the new Beatles track. Let’s hope we have the Fab Four for
Christmas number one'.

of risks to pupils and a major incident was declared in Hampshire due to
concerns over pressure on local services. Roofs were torn off houses and
trampolines were blown onto railway lines, with train operators urging commuters
to work from home amid widespread disruption. Power cuts were affecting 10,000
homes in Cornwall, 1,600 in Sussex and 6,500 in Surrey.

A 74-year-old man has been arrested in England after a British grandmother was
found knifed to death at her Italian home yesterday. The man was arrested by
police officers in Shepshed, Leicestershire, last night in connection with the
murder of Michele Faiers (left, bottom right) in Italy. Michele, 66, was
discovered lying in a pool of blood in her first-floor bedroom by her friend
inside her rural home (top right) in Verratti village near Casoli, a town in
eastern Italy , on Wednesday morning. The mother-of-two was found on the floor
next to her bed, dressed in her underwear and covered in a white sheet with just
her feet poking out, an investigative source said told MailOnline. Italian
police were hunting Michele's partner Michael Whitbread, 74, (pictured left
together) a retired IT consultant originally from Torquay, after he allegedly
left the scene in the couple's white Jeep Compass before police could question
him. Colonel Alceo Greco, of Italy's carabinieri police force, said Mr Whitbread
is a prime suspect in Michele's murder and is feared to have fled Italy. Police
described him as 'intelligent, competent and able'. Leicestershire police said
today they had arrested a 74-year-old man in connection with Michele's murder
last night and he remains in custody.

Satellite images of the northern-most four miles of Gaza appear to confirm the
Israeli advance deep into the territory. Analysis of the images shows breaches
through the perimeter fence, tank tracks in the sand, damaged and destroyed
buildings and large craters from Israeli artillery strikes. Farms have also been
destroyed. Armoured vehicles can be seen stationed in clearings between
bombed-out buildings - many of which have been destroyed by Israeli air strikes
in the country's ruthless bombardment of the territory that was launch in
response to Hamas' s October 7 terror attack that killed around 1,400 people in
Israel. Israeli troops appear to be advancing on three main routes: One thrust

quarry - the size of 26 football pitches - would sit just 160ft from some houses
in Haddiscoe, which has a population of 500 people. It would also be 300ft away
from the Norfolk settlement's Grade I listed church, St Mary's, and other listed
buildings including ancient farmhouses and the village's war memorial. Locals
also say the quarry would belch out dust, while noise and traffic from lorries

peace and quiet. Historic England has also objected, saying the plan would ruin

the invitation of Kenyan President William Ruto to celebrate the relationship

of videos posted to Instagram depict a tiger shark pushing a turtle around the
waters of Magic Island Lagoon near Honolulu. In the first video,
captioned 'Tiger shark outside magic island eating a turtle,' the shark can be
seen fastening its teeth in the turtle's side while nudging it in circles. It is
unclear if the turtle has already died, as it makes no effort to escape. The
shark passes a boat full of people, including a man who is hanging off the side,
before it drags the turtle underwater and swims off. The shark was reported to
be around 10 feet long. Tiger sharks account for most shark attacks in Hawaii
and made up half of the shark attacks this year.

Hedonistic and legendary London club Tramp - a debauched playground for the
rich, famous and royalty for more than 50 years - has shut suddenly and appears
to have been secretly sold. A byword for nocturnal overindulgence, drunkenness
and descent into sensual dissipation in Mayfair, its future appears unclear
after members who pay an annual £1,000 subscription received an email telling
them that the club is closed. Its legendary founder Johnny Gold opened the club
on December 18, 1969. Mick Jagger was a founder member and with him on the
opening night were hellraisers Peter Sellers, Michael Caine and Richard Harris.
Overnight, Tramp became a hang-out for the film and rock 'n' roll elite. The
Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Marlon Brando and Charlton Heston were regulars
when in London. Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor would drop by. Such was
Tramp's pulling power that on one celebrated night three James Bonds - Roger
Moore, Sean Connery and George Lazenby - were all in the club having dinner at
the same time. One night, Jack Nicholson French-kissed a tramp outside the
club's unassuming entrance on Jermyn Street. The Who's legendary drummer Keith
Moon had a penchant for removing all his clothes and dancing naked. On one
occasion he was banned after pulling down a crystal chandelier - but after his
chauffeur returned with £500 he was allowed back 48 hours later, arriving naked
and strapped to the bonnet of his famous white Rolls-Royce before rocking away
until dawn. George Best was at Tramp. Best once punched regular Sir Michael
Caine on a night where the footballer tried to muscle in on a date of Bill
Wyman, who once famously turned up with almost a dozen women in tow. Indeed, it
was said that while girls dressed up for nearby Annabel's, they undressed for
Tramp. Tara Palmer-Tomkinson was confident of entry when she turned up in
nothing more than a bikini under an open fur coat for her 21st birthday party.
