'KANYE WEST DAY' OFFICIALLY CANCELLED: 'TO YE I SAY NAY'

The former Atlanta city councilwoman who organized "Kanye West Day" is
distancing herself from him. In view of his recent contentious words, she says
she would not grant the distinction now. It's such a waste of a gret honor,
considering the day was made in recognition of all the great, nice things Kanye
achieved in Atlanta.

Natalyn Archibong was a member of the Atlanta City Council last year when she
introduced a proclamation honoring Ye, who was born in Atlanta, with his own
day.

However, she is now bidding him "a shocked and disgusted farewell" due to his
recent comments about George Floyd's death and anti-Semitic Tweets.

TMZ revealed that after Kanye West kicked off his Donda tour in Atlanta on July
22, 2021, the city dubbed that date "Kanye West Day." Natalyn, who was the
driving force behind the pronouncement, asserts that it was a one-time event
that cannot be replicated.

According to her, there were four primary reasons for honoring Kanye with his
own day. She says that Ye's Donda tour began in Atlanta, that he was born in
Atlanta, and that his mother, Donda West, attended the Atlanta-based HBCU Morris
Brown College.

Natalyn concluded that the declaration was a recognition of his significant
contribution to the arts.

However, since then, Kanye has stirred up a great deal of controversy, and
Natalyn explains that the July 2021 proclamation did not anticipate that in
2022, the artist formerly known as Kanye West would brazenly make such offensive
words.

In conclusion, Natalyn... "To Ye I say nay." 

However, Kanye seems unfazed by anything. Not even with all of the cancellations
and opposition. The parent business of the social media app Parler, Parlement
Technologies, announced on Monday that it will be acquired by Kanye West, who
legally changed his name to Ye last year.

The app Parler, which is popular among conservatives, expects the transaction to
finalize in the fourth quarter of 2022. It did not give a deal value. As part of
a reorganization, Parler launched a new parent company, Parlement Technologies
Inc, last month. West discontinued its agreement with garment retailer Gap Inc
last month, citing failure to fulfill contractual duties.
