WHAT IS UNITEDMASTERS?

As a traditional label alternative for independent artists, UnitedMasters
provides premium music distribution services and facilitates unique partnerships
between artists and the world’s biggest brands. UnitedMasters also provides data
analytics, marketing and promotion tools, and creative services to help artists
grow their fan base at any stage of their career. Unlike traditional record
labels, UnitedMasters enables artists to retain full ownership of their careers
and the master recording rights to their music. UnitedMasters has attracted
major investors and a diverse roster of independent artists.

HOW DO YOU RELEASE MUSIC ON UNITEDMASTERS?

Distributing your music as an independent artist is easier than ever. To
distribute your music digitally, follow these steps:

1. Create a UnitedMasters account: Sign up for UnitedMasters and create an
Artist profile. Choose between distributing to an existing Spotify and Apple
Music page, or releasing on new profiles. Join UnitedMasters SELECT to
distribute your music to more platforms.

2. Upload your music: Upload your music files and metadata such as track titles,
album artwork, and collaborators. Digitally master your songs with Mastering
through our platform.

3. Confirm the details: Enter the release details and add collaborators to share
royalties.

4. Review and submit: Submit it for approval by UnitedMasters. SELECT artists
can choose their release dates to better plan their promotional strategies.

5. Release your music: Your music will be distributed to the platforms available
to your plan. With UnitedMasters SELECT, you can release in as little as 2
business days.



DOES UNITEDMASTERS COPYRIGHT YOUR MUSIC?

UnitedMasters does not copyright music. UnitedMasters provides an automatic
copyright notice for releases streamed through our platform. We use the “Label”
information you provide during the submission process. If no “Label” information
is provided, we will use the name in your Artist profile. If you prefer, you can
include a copyright notice on album covers or other appropriate places. For
musical work, a copyright notice can be as simple as: © Year of first
publication and the copyright owner’s name. For legal advice, consult a licensed
professional.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE UNITEDMASTERS TO APPROVE A SONG?

Distributing your music as an independent artist is easier than ever. To
distribute your music digitally, follow these steps:

UnitedMasters SELECT artists can choose an available release date for song
releases. Release dates as soon as 2 business days after submission are
available. Exact release dates within 7 calendar days of submission are not
guaranteed. Once a song or music is approved, it should be live in music
streaming services within 1-2 business days. You can track progress and control
your catalog through the UnitedMasters platform. You can track progress and

IS UNITEDMASTERS A RECORD LABEL?

UnitedMasters is not a record label, although it may make artists feel like one.
UnitedMasters provides premium music distribution services and facilitates
unique partnerships between artists and the world’s biggest brands. Independent
artists can distribute tracks and access advanced analytics through
UnitedMasters to learn more about their fan base. It’s like having a record
label in your pocket – and you stay in control of when you get paid.

HOW MUCH DOES UNITEDMASTERS PAY PER STREAM?

Royalties are deposited to your UnitedMasters Wallet, but can vary depending on
the streaming service or music store. Your Wallet will reflect the available
balance that you can cash out. SELECT members can cash out at any time as long
as their balance is enough to cover processing fees. Non-SELECT members can cash
out at any time as long as they maintain a $50 balance in their UnitedMasters
Wallet. To cash out your UnitedMasters Wallet, you will need to complete the
Wallet setup, including an account to deposit the funds.

HOW DO YOU EDIT A RELEASE ON UNITEDMASTERS?

Submitted or live releases can be edited on UnitedMasters. For music that’s live
on music stores or streaming services, submit a takedown request through
UnitedMasters. Make the edits to the release and resubmit the revised track in
the correct order. To preserve streaming data, ensure you submit the revised
release with the same metadata for each track.
