She was elected in 2022, after working under retired Trustee Jimmy D. Byrd for 24 years, including 20 years as his chief deputy. She is married to Mike Erwin. They have two children, Calvin and Ethen Erwin, and three grandchildren. The Erwins are members of First Baptist Church of Oneida.
