administering the Property Tax Relief Program, and accounting for and disbursing
county tax funds.

Rena Erwin

Rena Erwin serves as Scott County’s Trustee. She was elected in 2022, after
working under retired Trustee Jimmy D. Byrd for 24 years, including 20 years as
his chief deputy. She is married to Mike Erwin. They have two children, Calvin
and Ethen Erwin, and three grandchildren. The Erwins are members of First
Baptist Church of Oneida.

ABOUT SCOTT COUNTY

Located on Tennessee’s northern Cumberland Plateau, approximately an hour’s
drive north of Knoxville, Scott County is home to about 22,000 people. It is the
gateway to the Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area, the
fifth-largest National Park Service unit in the eastern U.S. It is also home to
the North Cumberland Wildlife Management Area, one of the largest contiguous
tracts of public land in the Southeast.
