They clearly see him as a potential number 1 but obviously heโs still relatively untested at this level. Went on loan to Livi a couple seasons ago, did ok. but Rangers canโt afford to throw him in as number 1 without playing a series of games at a top level again imo. with the extension if it does happen, McCrorie plays every week and gains the valuable experience needed especially at 24 years old and Rangers evaluate how he does. It benefits both parties and certainly doesnโt waste anyones time. I think itโs a great move for both.
