Summer series of 5-day pop-up classes at stanforD UNIVERSITY

HACKING
4 RECOVERY

CREATING NEW BUSINESSES,

Reinventing existing businesses

LEARN LEAN STARTUP TECHNIQUES AND DEVELOP NEW BUSINESSES AND BUSINESS MODELS FOR
AN ECONOMY ON THE ROAD TO RECOVERY.

COVID-19 has upended traditional ways of doing business, travel, education, etc.
How do these institutions reconfigure themselves? What new businesses, products,
and services will emerge? Hacking 4 Recovery provides students with the tools to
understand the new normal and to build innovative solutions for recovery.

Stanford’s Hacking 4 Recovery is a 5-day version of the Lean LaunchPad / Hacking
for Defense / National Science Foundation I-Corps curriculum that’s trained tens
of thousands of entrepreneurs and innovators. This class offers students a
unique online opportunity to build the future with the Stanford University
instructors who have inspired a generation of entrepreneurs.

Students who take the Hacking 4 Recovery class will have an opportunity to apply
for affiliated summer startup accelerators and incubators, including Pear VC,
Floodgate, H4XLabs, Stanford Venture Studio, and others to be announced.

RECAP OF PAST H4R SESSIONS

With a terrific crew of instructors, TA’s, and mentors, we successfully
concluded 3 sessions of our Hacking 4 Recovery summer series – with 50 Stanford
teams tackling COVID-19 problems and helping schools, businesses and health
systems on the road to recovery.

We had teams join us from all corners of the globe including students from 6
continents. Teams explored a variety of issue areas including access to
affordable healthcare, scaling COVID-19 testing, improving personal protective
equipment options for small businesses and restaurants, remote onboarding for
companies, and mental health options for those most affected by the crisis.

“Hacking 4 Recovery gives you the tools and inspiration to improve the world in
this time when the world needs us!”
