FAQ

What is KwickBit?

KwickBit is a non-custodial payment gateway designed for eCommerce platforms and
websites to accept payments in cryptocurrencies, particularly stablecoins like
USDT and USDC.

What does non-custodial mean?

Non-custodial means KwickBit never holds your funds. Payments are processed
on-chain, and we cannot access or freeze your funds, even if we wanted to.

What else does KwickBit handle for me?

KwickBit automates invoicing for your customers. Once a payment is processed,
the customer will receive an invoice automatically, making it seamless for you.

Is KwickBit right for me?

If you run a legitimate business and want to offer your customers the option to
pay in stablecoins, then KwickBit is the right solution for you.

Is there a KYB (Know Your Business) requirement?

We do require some basic documents once your incoming revenue reaches a certain
threshold (currently €1000). It’s a simple verification process to ensure
compliance with the law.

What happens if I stop using KwickBit?

Your funds will remain in your wallet. However, your website’s payment processor
will no longer be linked to our service, so customers won’t be able to make
payments in stablecoins using KwickBit.

I run an eCommerce store. How can I use KwickBit?

If you’re using Shopify, WooCommerce, SquareSpace, or similar platforms, you can
install our plugin. If our plugin isn’t yet available on your platform, reach
out to us, and we can provide early access. We are highly responsive, so just
drop us an email.

Why would people want to pay in stablecoins or cryptocurrencies?

Many customers are seeking autonomy over their finances and are increasingly
reluctant to trust third-party institutions with their funds. Stablecoins, in
particular, offer a way to preserve value and gain control.

Why would I want to accept payments in stablecoins?

Accepting stablecoins can attract customers looking for cryptocurrency options.
It’s particularly beneficial for businesses operating in regions with high
inflation, such as Argentina, Brazil, or Bolivia, as stablecoins provide
protection from currency devaluation.

Can anyone use the service?

At the moment, we focus on businesses in Singapore, Hong Kong, the United Arab
Emirates, and Latin America. Our service is not available in sanctioned regions
like Iran, North Korea, or Cuba, and customers from these regions cannot use
KwickBit either.

What is the tax collector for?

The tax collector helps you track how much tax you’ve collected from your sales,
simplifying the process for your tax returns. While receiving payments in
stablecoins offers financial autonomy, it doesn’t exempt you from paying taxes.
