Archetype Publications Limited has grown since 1987 to be one of the leading
publishers in the fields of conservation of art and antiquities and technical
art history. Many of our titles are conference proceedings on specific topics,
published in association with UK/ International museums, galleries,
universities, conservation associations etc. Others are monographs written by
experts in particular fields.

You can browse our titles and purchase them on this website. Archetype Titles
are stocked by some bookshops, see where to buy.

Archetype Publications also distributes selected International Institute of
Conservation (IIC) titles. 

International Academic Projects  (our sister organisation) has offered
professional development courses on selected conservation and museum related
topics since 1983. Before the Covid pandemic these courses were held in the UK
and abroad. In 2020 IAP Virtual launched online seminars and courses on a
variety of topics. Archetype has published works by several IAP tutors.
