WHAT WE DO

 Our mission is to make New Orleans a safer place to live, work, and visit. With
your support, NOPJF:

 

 * Consults with the NOPD to obtain full Consent Decree compliance
 * Promotes the SafeCam Platinum program for connecting home security systems to
   the Real Time Crime Center
 * Facilitates the installation of public safety cameras along I-10 off-ramps
   for 77,000 daily drivers
 * Secures advanced technology for the Digital Forensics Unit enabling over
   1,000 phone and vehicle decryptions
 * Creates events to boost NOPD morale and retention for specialized units
 * Provides NOPD with nourishment and hydration during the long stretches of
   special events through the Adopt-a-Cop fund
 * Partners with architect John Williams to revitalize the NOPD 1st, 3rd, 6th,
   and 8th district stations
 * Administers the Tragedy Fund for member officers injured in the line of duty
   and those who make the ultimate sacrifice
 * Provides Tuition Assistance to officers and civilians within the NOPD
 * Funds advanced Training for officers such as the Reid Technique of
   Interviewing
 * Provides support to our four-legged officers
 * Purchases new GPS trackers for the K-9 Unit
 * Invests in the yearly certification of all K-9 handlers
 * Procures new Mounted officers (horses)




THANKFULLY FEEDING THE FRONT LINES

The NOPJF is partnering with The Chefs Brigade and New Orleans & Company to
provide amazing dinners once a month to every NOPD District. We celebrated
Thanksgiving on November 22nd and a festive meal for Christmas on December 20th.
Local restaurants from within each district are providing meals as a way to show
their gratitude for keeping their neighborhoods safe. The meals begin at 6:30 PM
which coincides with shift change to allow Day and Night shifts to participate.




STAKE OUT FOR JUSTICE 2025

Save the date for the New Orleans law enforcement event of the year on October
14th, 2025.

As a civic leader and a champion of public safety, we encourage you to recognize
the badges working behind the scenes of every major New Orleans event through
your participation in the Stake Out for Justice. Last year, NOPJF’s signature
fundraising event took place Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at the beautiful
Sheraton New Orleans. Check back for updates and announcements for the October
14, 2025, event!
