The 8 best German student teams of the Cyber Security Rumble 2024 online CTF are invited to the Deutsche Hacking Meisterschaft on July 10th, 2024 in Bonn - Germany. REGISTER ON CTF PLATFORM CYBER SECURITY RUMBLE 2024 Edition The qualifiers of the Cyber Security Rumble 2024 is 24-hour online jeopardy-style CTF which takes place from Saturday May, 11 2024 at 13:00 UTC. The best 8 German student teams are qualified for the Deutsche Hacking Meisterschaft taking place in Bonn on July, 10 2024. WHAT IS THE RUMBLE? The first edition of Cyber Security Rumble took place in 2019, organized by NVISO and was based on online qualifiers followed by the finals taking place in Bonn, Germany over 2 days with the best 13 German student teams. Since 2020, the Rumble is co-organized together with the Red Rocket CTF Team. In 2023, The Cyber Security Rumble came back to it original format with online qualifiers and live finals in Bonn, after 3 years of full online CTF, due to the pandemic. WHO CAN JOIN? Anyone is allowed to compete in the CTF in teams up to 6 participants. To be eligible for the qualification to the Deutsche Hacking Meisterschaft, participants must be 18 years of age and be a student in a university or school in Germany. If you have some trouble finding teammates, head over to our Discord channel. The code of conduct is available here. HOW TO PLAY? During the Cyber Security Rumble, the teams must solve challenges during 24 hours covering a wide range of categories, e.g. crypto, network, reversing, web, mobile, pwning or forensic. The complexity of challenges ranges from easy up to nightmare. To get a feel for what you can expect you can always head over to the write-ups of the previous edition on CTF Time. The first 3 international CTF teams in the qualifiers round might also be eligible to honorary prizes. WHEN DOES IT GO? Qualifiers Register your team (6 people max) and participate to the qualifiers taking place on Saturday May 11, 2024.
