 * Beneficiaries - 50,000 farmers in over 30,000 acres

 * Length of the Canal - 56.5 miles
 * Creates a union between Bhavani, Noyyal & Amaravathi Rivers of Kongunad
 * Kongunad consists of 24 smaller regions and it is a part of the Tamil country
 * Every year water flows for 10.5 months through the Kalingarayan Canal i.ei.e.
   between June 16th & April 30th [PWD order no. 2647 dated 2/11/1966]
 * One of the three hydrological wonders of Tamilnadu
 * Schwartz (1779), Buchanan (1800), MckenzieMcKenzie (1798) & Arundale (1880)
   have recorded their praise and appreciation for Kalingarayar and his
   Kalingarayan Canal
 * Besides the Kalingarayan Canal, kalingarayar has created several check dams,
   tanks and water bodies.
