Writings, projects and ideas. description: "Nick the Sick's blog. Writings, projects and ideas." HI, I'M NICK PEREZ MY MISSION: TO CREATE PRODUCTS THAT YOU CAN'T IMAGINE LIVING WITHOUT. I am a software developer who is passionate about using technology to make people's lives easier. I specialize in front-end web apps and websites, but don't let that pigeonhole me as only a web developer. My dream is that one day someone will show me a product, raving about how useful it is to them, and I'll be able to reply, "I made that." I love the idea that I can make something that simply did not and could not have existed without me. I wholeheartedly enjoy creating software, with a knack for learning/playing with new technologies and techniques. I take great pride in my work, and am opinionated in the work that I do. I'm originally from Miami, lived in San Francisco for 6 years and currently living in the Netherlands since early 2022. This blog is pretty open-ended, more a collection of notes and ideas that I wanted to keep around than anything. These notes are more likely to be half-baked, but hopefully, they give you something to think about, like they have for me. WANT TO WORK WITH ME? Read some more about my career path. SOME PROJECTS I'VE BEEN WORKING ON * A Raspberry Pi Server for my smart home devices * A DIY Air Quality Sensor that I put together * Nibble 65% Keyboard * My e-reading Journey * Remarkable 2 with Koreader SOME IDEAS THAT YOU WILL HEAR A LOT FROM ME * How behaviors work, and using them to start new habits * The ways in which we think * The two mountains * Nudge Theory * Create value, not extract it Links to this page My Vision Home Not found This page does not exist Interactive graph On this page Powered by Obsidian Publish
