Can I receive the Historical Hedge Fund Strategy Overview prior to Q1 2005?
Q1 of 2005 is the first quarter this overview was in existence.
What is Quick Link?
The Quick Link feature brings you to the latest summary report of your Deal(s).
You may also reach the reports by clicking on the word Reports which lies in the
Header of the website page.
How do I download Adobe Reader?
If you have Acrobat Reader on your computer, you will be able to access all PDF
documents on this site.
If you do not have this software, Adobe's free Acrobat Reader can be accessed on
Adobe Acrobat's site.
REPORTS
How can the report data be exported into Excel?
All reports and analytic reports can be exported into Excel by clicking on the
Excel icon on the top right hand corner of the report. In the event you receive
an error message when clicking the Excel icon, please hold down the Control key
and click the Excel icon.
How can I access the Basket Report for each option?
You can select the Deal ID from the Summary tab or you may select the Basket
tab.
Can I launch the fund snapshots from each report?
You can launch the snapshot by clicking on the position name.
How can I see the entire name of the position in my portfolio?
You can see the entire name of the position by rolling the mouse over the name
or exporting the data into Excel.
Where can I find the strategy classification of each fund?
If you export the Basket Report into Excel, the strategy will be listed for each
position. The strategy is also listed on the snapshots as well as the Monthly
Returns report on the Analytics tab.
Can I sort the data within each report?
Each column within the reports is sortable by clicking on the column header.
How can I display PDF and Excel reports? They do not appear when I click

STATISTICS GLOSSARY
Compound Rate of Return (ROR)
The compounded rate of return is also known as the geometric average. It assumes
an investment made at the inception of the return stream that grows at the
monthly rate of return until the current period.
Standard Deviation
Standard deviation is often used as a measure of risk. It calculates the
variation of returns around the average return. Return streams with high
volatility will have larger standard deviations.
Worst Drawdown
The worst drawdown is the largest percent loss from a peak to a trough. A
drawdown is in effect from the time decline begins until a new high is reached.
% Months Positive
Percentage month's positive is the number of positive returns divided by total
number of returns.
Average Gain
The average gain is the sum of the positive returns divided by the total number
of positive months.
Average Loss
The average loss is the sum of negative months divided by the total number of
negative months.
Sharpe Ratio
The Sharpe ratio is a return to risk calculation that uses the risk free rate as
a hurdle. It subtracts the risk free rate from the average return and then
divides the result by the standard deviation.
Correlation to S&P 500
The correlation to S&P 500 measures the historical relationship of a return
stream to the returns of the S&P 500 over a corresponding period. Correlations
range +1 (positively correlated) to -1 (negatively correlated). Returns with a
correlation of 1 move in the same direction and at the same magnitude with the
S&P 500 returns. Returns with 0 correlation move random to the S&P 500 returns.
Returns with a -1 move in the opposite direction at the same magnitude of the
S&P 500 returns.
Correlation to LIBOR
The correlation to LIBOR measures the historical relationship of a return stream
to the returns of LIBOR over a corresponding period. Correlations range +1
(positively correlated) to -1 (negatively correlated). Returns with a
correlation of 1 move in the same direction and at the same magnitude with the
LIBOR returns. Returns with 0 correlation move random to the LIBOR returns.
Returns with a -1 move in the opposite direction at the same magnitude of the
LIBOR returns.
Downside Deviation
The downside deviation calculates the volatility of negative months and is often
used to measure the risk of a return stream's downside performance. It
calculates the variation of negative returns around the average return for the
negative months.
Annualized ROR
The annualized ROR calculates the average compounded return for a year an
investor would have received based on the entire series of historical returns.
