SHRED DRUID AND OTHER CLASSES PENDING NERFS - BLIZZARD

With the recent revelations of Druids dealing billions of damage and Rob2628's
Barbarian dishing out undecillion Critical Strikes, the Diablo 4 developers are
looking into nerfing classes across the board, starting with Shred Druid.

Once these insane damage numbers started to be reported on, PC Gamer received a
statement directly from Blizzard:
This behavior is unintentional. The team is looking at changing it in the near
future in order to improve the balance.

And this balance may be coming sooner rather than later. In a Forbes article
released early today, Diablo 4 Game Director, Joe Shely, mentioned that nerfs
are definitely coming as a part of Diablo 4's Season of the Malignant.
Unlike the past mid-season patch which was 99% buffs, there will indeed be nerfs
coming with the seasonal start here. Shely didn’t get into specifics, but gave a
familiar “we have to nerf some things some times we can’t always buff all other
things” answer that most games like this have to address at some point.



While no specific class balance changes have been mentioned so far, we will be
keeping a close eye on the next patch that will be hitting Diablo 4 servers on
July 18th. This patch should include all class changes that will be coming to
Diablo 4 when Season of the Malignant releases on July 20th.

Just hope they don't forget to buff all the turbo bad skills that you would
essentially never consider playing once you hit lvl 50.

this is not excessive damage 1 billion damage to bosses with trillions of health
point is a decent amount to have. the rob one is a bit much.

Can't wait for the good old Blizzard nerf nuke while they buff absolute trash
abilities and builds by 1-2% and wonder why nobody keeps choosing those skills.

Special circumstance and it is a bug. First off it requires an immortal target,
and it also requires the target to be stunned. Seeing how bosses are neither
immortal nor stunnable, this would never work on them.

I clicked this thinking feral shred was getting a nerf

For gods sake l don't care about diablo. I change the filter and it just doesnt
stay everytime l revisit.

Not Barbs we don't use Uniques unless you have no good legendaries.

This is true for every build and every class. Except even with all of those
uniques and legendaries most other builds can’t even come close to that kind of
damage.

Also getting a ton of crit and vuln damage is not even remotely difficult. You
can easily get 200% of each with barebones itemization and like half of your
total paragon points.

Someone correct me, but isn't the shred build a farm spec? Doesn't it require
keeping up buffs from small mob deaths. Billions of damage, but you're doing low
level nightmare dungeons.

From what I watched in the videos, yes. You have to, i believe, just keep going
from enemy to enemy to get and keep the buffs up, and then have the stars align
with random buffs to attain such high damage

Indeed, I very briefly ran this build as I was leveling and was spectactularly
unimpressed. I wasn't aware I had to run from group to group to make it work,
but I also didn't like how it played. I like the stormclaw build I eventually
got to. It doesn't do anywhere close to the insane damage here so I am hoping it
is unaffected.

I hope the patch before season one isn't one of those classic Blizzard heavy
handed nerf bombs where we see things like "All damaging abilities reduced by
45%" coupled with things like "All enemy health and resistances increased by
200%". I realize hitting monsters for millions of damage is unintended and
should be rectified, but a lot of abilities need serious buffs. Not to mention
things like resistances need to actually do something.

Not Barbs we don't use Uniques unless you have no good legendaries.

This is true for every build and every class. Except even with all of those

From what I watched in the videos, yes. You have to, i believe, just keep going
from enemy to enemy to get and keep the buffs up, and then have the stars align
with random buffs to attain such high damage

Indeed, I very briefly ran this build as I was leveling and was spectactularly
unimpressed. I wasn't aware I had to run from group to group to make it work,
but I also didn't like how it played. I like the stormclaw build I eventually
got to. It doesn't do anywhere close to the insane damage here so I am hoping it
is unaffected.
