MICHIGAN VOLLEYBALL ACADEMY

Michigan Sports Academies was initially founded in July of 2007 as Michigan
Volleyball Academy (MVA). Our simple mission was to provide fundamental
volleyball skill development during a 3 month club volleyball season (Mar –
Jun).  MVA quickly grew to a successful year round program, offering three or
six months of National, Elite, Regional and Competitive AAU club training and
play, as well as volleyball camps, clinics, and private lessons, to a growing
group of athletes in the Grand Rapids area. 

MVA develops athletes and coaches by using a tiered training program where
collegiate level coaches write the practice plans for all teams, helping to
improve the athletes’ volleyball skills.  While we strive to continuously grow
and improve, we still hold true to our fundamental approach to development and
competition by training the individual first.

training and just believing in our daughter. Her knowledge of the game is beyond
measure and she has been an incredible role model and mentor."

grown tremendously as a competitor. The added bonus is all of us gaining a
family. We have had so much fun with this group of parents and kids and feel we
have made life long friends. The culture at MVA is family and each player and
family truly wants what is best for each other."

Maybe for some the financial cost is no big deal, but for me I liked having her
work a couple of times, to work for this team she was on and this great
organization, and hopefully gives her some perspective of it all."

56ers brings together 5th and 6th-grade athletes looking to improve their
volleyball game by improving their skills and gaining competitive playing
experience. This camp is designed to bridge the gap between MVA Youth Camps and
the MVA Club Teams. Each week, your athlete will experience a day of
skill-building and specialized training, as well as dedicated time for
competitive team play. With the help of experienced and supportive coaches, 56er
athletes will have the opportunity to work hard, play hard, and have fun!
