100 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE
In 2023, BHS celebrated 100 years of excellence, joy, and community. Over the
last century, BHS has grown and prospered — a reflection of the city of
Bellevue itself, which has transformed from rural farmland to a global hub of
innovation, technology and international business.
In this transformative environment, BHS students can access opportunities to
learn from and lead alongside the Bellevue community.
BHS students, staff and families are filled with hope and optimism for a
thriving school, district and community over the next 100 years. Together, we
are Bellevue.
COURSES THAT CHALLENGE AND INSPIRE
In 2023, U.S. News & World Report rankings placed all Bellevue School District
high schools as among the top 30 best high schools in Washington state. Bellevue
High was ranked #6 in Washington and #350 in the National Rankings.
BHS students excel in the classroom and beyond — the school is consistently a
top contender for the Scholastic Cup, honoring both athletic and academic
achievements. With Advanced Placement courses (27!) and electives (37!), BHS has
a remarkable array of classes, clubs, and activities where students can pursue
their passions. Options include Career and Technical Education courses such the
automotive technology program in a state-of-the-art facility unique to BHS.
A BELLEVUE WOLVERINE ASKS....
What can I do to make a difference? Where can I find a solution? How can I help
others succeed?
For nearly 20 years, BHS student have given back to their community through
countless hours of service. Each year, the entire school community gathers to
support local shelters and make a lasting impact. The Wolverine Guard (WG) award
is presented to students who perform 100+ hours of community service.
A BELLEVUE WOLVERINE STRIVES TO...
Learn about other people, places, and cultures. Recognize, support, and
celebrate individuals. Participate in the community. Create a better world.
Bellevue high students are passionate leaders. They sit on district committees,
lead state-wide initiatives, and attend school board meetings to advocate for
issues like environmental sustainability, literacy, and inclusive curriculum.
They work with school and district staff to implement innovation solutions.

BHS draws from a diverse community. Students who come from a long line of
Wolverines sit alongside students whose families have recently moved to Bellevue
from cities and countries around the world. In the spirit of inclusion, BHS
