STRAINS IS A FUN NEW WORD PUZZLE GAME. HERE’S HOW YOU PLAY: IN A GRID OF
LETTERS, YOUR TASK IS TO FIND 8 WORDS THAT ARE ALL CONNECTED TO TOPIC. YOU CAN
MAKE WORDS BY LINKING LETTERS UP, DOWN, ACROSS, DIAGONALLY, OR BACKWARDS. EVERY
PUZZLE HAS ONE BIG WORD, CALLED A "SPANGRAM," THAT GOES FROM ONE SIDE OF THE
GRID TO THE OTHER. CAN YOU FIND ALL 8 WORDS?


HOW TO PLAY THE STRAINS GAME?


 1. START OF THE GAME
    
    When you start playing Strains, you'll be greeted with a 6x8 grid full of
    letters. Your mission is to discover words that are all related to a
    specific theme. Plus, there's a special challenge: finding a unique word
    called a "spangram." This word perfectly captures the theme of the puzzle
    and has to stretch from one side of the grid to the other.


 2. FIND THE WORDS
    
    In Strains, you create words by linking letters up and down, side to side,
    or on a diagonal. It's okay to switch directions while you're spelling out a
    word. Keep in mind, every letter on the grid is part of a word, and you
    can't use the same letter twice for the same word.


 3. COMPLETE THE PUZZLE
    
    Keep looking for all the words. Don’t worry about making wrong guesses, They
    won’t count against you. Instead, they'll give you hints. You solve the
    puzzle by finding all 8 words that fit the theme, including one special
    word, the spangram. This isn’t your usual word search game; the twist is
    that all the words you're searching for are connected by a common topic.


WHAT IS STRAINS GAME?

Strains is an exciting new game created by the New York Times that puts a fresh
twist on the classic word search. In each puzzle, there's a specific theme, and
your goal is to find words related to that theme to complete the puzzle. The
cool part? You can also hunt for words that don't fit the theme. When you find
these off-topic words, you'll get helpful hints that guide you towards the
themed words you're searching for.


GAMEPLAY

Strains is like a word search game where each puzzle is centered around a
special theme. You can link letters in any direction to form words, but
remember, you can't use the same letter more than once or cross them out. The
words that match the theme will light up in blue. There's also a special word in
each puzzle called the Spangram. This word sums up the puzzle's theme and
stretches from one side of the board to the other, glowing in yellow. When you
find all the right words, each letter in the grid will be part of a word. If
you're having trouble, try finding any words that don't fit the theme, as long
as they're four letters long or more. For every three of these unrelated words
you find, you'll get a clue to help you uncover one of the themed words for the
day.
