obiWAN relies on the Nordic Semiconductor nRF9160 SiP’s processing power, on
both the cellular and GNSS radios, on all its security features, its very low
power consumption, and its interfaces and peripherals. Our development team is
familiar with Nordic’s excellent technical support and information, forum
discussions, development tools, and the high level of expertise from the Nordic
engineering team. It is a choice based on the high performance of Nordic’s

WHY DID WE CHOOSE NORDIC?

We selected the nRF5340 SoC for the high performance application processor and
ample memory it provides, while the nRF7002 Wi-Fi Companion IC not only offers
the latest Wi-Fi 6 technology, but its low power consumption makes it ideal for
battery-powered devices. Both the nRF5340 and nRF7002 also meet industrial grade
operating temperature requirements from -40 to 85°C, making them suitable for
use in harsh environments. We also partner with Nordic because of its excellent
brand reputation, and rapid technical support.
