Experts from around the world talk about open source software in modern
corporate information systems at OW2con'22.

The central theme of OW2con this year is: "Reliable and Predictable Open Source
Software". As open source becomes more mature it expands toward more commercial
and more business-like segments. By moving up the layers of corporate
information systems - from the operating system up to the business applications
- open source software is increasingly used by non-IT specialists.
The challenge for skilled community developers and professional development
teams is to address the needs of the mainstream market with reliable,
predictable and well supported industry-grade open source software. Similarly,
users must learn how to manage open source professionally so as to adopt open
source in a way that is also reliable and predictable. OW2con'22 will address
the many challenges of ensuring reliable and predictable open source software.

The June 8 and 9 conference will take place online as mentioned earlier, and it
will be 100% virtual. We prefer to keep this option in order to reduce the risks
of uncertainty for participants and speakers.  A second event, face-to-face this
time, will nevertheless take place in Paris, on the occasion of the
Cloud-Datacenter + Infra conference on June 29 and 30 and will be called "OW2 15
Year Anniversary". There will be a conference session and the OW2 Best Project
Awards ceremony starting on 6/29 at 4:30 p.m., followed by a cocktail/social
event and a session the next day on 6/30 until noon.
