The NMLS Annual Renewal Period Started Today, Nov. 1
The NMLS annual renewal period has started and will continue through Dec. 31.

deadlines, fees, state-specific requirements, continuing education, and more.
NMLS MAINTENANCE STARTING OCT. 31, 9 P.M. ET TO PREPARE FOR RENEWALS

NMLS will be unavailable starting Thursday, Oct. 31 at 9 p.m. ET. NMLS will
resume normal operation Friday, Nov. 1 at 7 a.m. ET.
System maintenance will be conducted during this time to prepare NMLS for the
start of annual renewals on Nov. 1.
PROMETRIC SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE TO AFFECT TEST SCHEDULING SATURDAY, OCT. 26

Due to scheduled system maintenance, Prometric will be unavailable to schedule
or modify test appointments Saturday, Oct. 26, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. ET.
During this time, users will not be able to schedule, reschedule or cancel test
appointments.

STATE REGULATORS URGE LICENSEES TO COMPLETE NEW NMLS LOGIN PROCESS BEFORE NOV. 1

NMLS has a new login process that requires users to update their username and
password and establish account recovery details. State regulators encourage
licensees to complete this process before Nov. 1 to save time during NMLS annual
renewals.

KANSAS OFFICE OF THE STATE BANK COMMISSIONER ADDED NEW EARNED WAGE ACCESS
SERVICES PROVIDER LICENSE TO NMLS ON OCT. 21

On Oct. 21, the Kansas Office of the State Bank Commissioner started receiving
new application filings in NMLS for the Earned Wage Access Services Provider
License.
New applicants are now able to submit these records through NMLS. Get more

CA DFPI TO ADD 4 NEW REGISTRATIONS TO NMLS NOV. 1

Starting on Nov. 1, NMLS will receive new application filings for the
California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI). New
applicants will be able to submit these records through NMLS starting on Nov. 1,
2024 for the following registration types:
* California Consumer Financial Protection Law (CCFPL) Registration - Student
Debt Relief Services
* California Consumer Financial Protection Law (CCFPL) Registration - Debt
Settlement Services
* California Consumer Financial Protection Law (CCFPL) Registration –
Income-Based Advances
* California Consumer Financial Protection Law (CCFPL) Registration – Education

COLORADO LICENSE FEE CHANGES FOR MONEY TRANSMITTER LICENSE EFFECTIVE SEPT. 20

The Colorado State Banking Board approved new licensing fees for money
transmitters effective Sept. 20. These include an Initial License Fee (Jan. 1 –
June 30) of $6,000, an Initial License Fee (July 1 – Dec. 31) of $3,000, and an
Annual License Fee of $6,000 (aka Renewal Fee). The initial license fees will be
invoiced via NMLS at the time of licensure. If you have any questions, please

WI TO ADD MONEY TRANSMITTER LICENSE TO NMLS OCT. 1

Starting Oct. 1, NMLS will begin receiving new application filings for the
Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions Money Transmitter License. Newly
enacted Act 267 is Wisconsin's version of the Money Transmission Modernization
Act, effective Jan. 1, 2025. Current Wisconsin Seller of Checks Licensees will
notice the name of the license will change on Sept. 3, to the Money Transmitter
License and will be expected to be compliant with the new law when it goes into
effect on Jan. 1, 2025. Click here for more information. .
