WILD LIGHT SEPTEMBER SHOWS

UK AND EUROPEAN TOUR


At the time of writing there are just over three weeks until we kick off our
series of shows to celebrate a decade of Wild Light. We will be playing TWO sets
- the whole of Wild Light, followed by a second set of miscellaneous other
bangers. UK support comes from CHIPZEL and out in Europe support comes from
SUGAR HORSE. Grab tickets while you can, we’re gonna make it count. Dates look

WILD LIGHT DECADE

A new project from 65LABS
The 65LABS Noise Archaeology Research Unit is proud to present WILD LIGHT
DECADE, a short-run project where we celebrate the inexplicable fact that Wild
Light is ten years old by taking a deep dive into its making.

Every week from Friday 2nd June, we will be dropping recordings that have never
been heard before. They were all made during a period of writing from roughly
late-2010 to mid-2013 that made up what are now retrospectively known as the
Wild Light Sessions.

65daysofstatic are also going on tour in September around UK and Europe,

10TH ANNIVERSARY UK/EURO SHOWS




Time flies when civilisation is collapsing, huh? Somehow, this autumn will mark
TEN YEARS since we released our album Wild Light. To celebrate the unlikely fact
that we continue being a band, we’re going on tour to play some 10th Anniversary
shows around the UK and Europe. We will play Wild Light in its entirely, plus a
bunch of other things TBC.

Tickets onsale 10am GMT // 11am CET, February 1st 2023. Get ‘em while they’re

RUSSIA SHOWS

Shows schedueld for May 2022 now indefinitely postponed.
It probably won’t surprise you to know that, in agreement with our Russian
promoter, our upcoming shows have now been indefinitely postponed.

They are impossible on many different levels.

Ticket refunds are available from wherever you bought them, (or you can hold on
to them and they will remain valid until such a time they become useful again).
We have had great shows there in the past and we WILL have great shows there
again in the future.

We know that Putin’s criminal war of aggression in Ukraine is not being done in
the name of all Russian people.

Solidarity to everybody affected by another senseless act of imperial power.

NEW BAND FEATURING 65DAYS’ ROB JONES




Haus Horo is a new band making slow motion cascades of doom.

Rob Jones from 65daysofstatic plays drums for them. Their first show is in
Sheffield in April, opening up for Big Brave.

Women (65daysofstatic remix)
We did a remix for the avant punk/art/anarcho noise legends Crass sometime back
in lockdown #1 and now it's here! they've undertaken a massive project with
loads of remixes to raise money for Refuge.

MIMIK


THE NEW RELEASE FROM THE WRECKAGE SYSTEMS PROJECT




‘Mimik’ is the fourth release from 65daysofstatic’s Wreckage Systems project.

This EP is an ode to the spaces, both physical and liminal, mostly denied to us
during these pandemic years. Let the repetitive beats move you and climb into
whatever era of nostalgia they trigger in your head.

'Mimik (Brln)' is bruising techno from the Steel City, chopped into utilitarian
rhythms from the untethered, wild source material that is 'Mimik (Original)'.
The noise of an absent summer.

‘So Long, Linearity!’ is the sound of whatever romance can be found in the
collapse of chronology. And marimbas. It was actually written during the making
of Wild Light back in 2013, destined to sit on a hard drive until the right
context came along.

'Circuit G' is a vaguely tamed recording of a rowdy Wreckage System output,
while 'Synth Ascend' is one of those old fashioned 65daysofstatic songs, with
melodies and guitars and everything.
