Evidence suggests zero-trust security far outstrips traditional perimeter-based
security in its ability to protect enterprises' sensitive data. Organizations
with the best cybersecurity outcomes are 137% more likely to have adopted a
zero-trust approach than their less successful peers, according to Nemertes'
"Secure Cloud Access and Policy Enforcement 2020-2021" study.

Both Commvault and Nutanix have several zero trust features to protect the
confidentiality, integrity, and availability of your critical data. In a world
of ever-increasing ransomware risks, having a secure backup solution is critical
to any organization’s cybersecurity posture. Commvault employs several zero
trust features including RBAC, accounting, and MFA integration for advanced
login security. Commvault also features air gap technologies to further reduce
risks associated with bad actors impersonating as system administrators.
Similarly, Nutanix HCI provides a hardened converged platform with a reduced
attack surface and simplified hardware and software stacks. The simplicity in
the design, by virtue of HCI, inherently reduces complexity allowing for
increased visibility. Nutanix also provides for microsegmentation through
Nutanix Flow, RBAC for administration, and advanced data protection mechanisms
to ensure data services durability and availability.
