Michael Saylor: MicroStrategy aims to become the leading Bitcoin bank

MicroStrategy founder and executive chairman Michael Saylor said in a recent
interview with analysts at research and brokerage firm Bernstein that the
company’s ultimate goal is to become the leading Bitcoin bank.
Michael Saylor believes that Bitcoin is a revolutionary form of digital capital
that can effectively hedge against inflation and become a superior tool for
long-term value storage. Thaler believes that Bitcoin’s volatility attracts
investors seeking high returns and that over time it will become an
indispensable asset in institutional and retail portfolios. Saylor sees
MicroStrategy as a Bitcoin bank, with its core business being the creation of
Bitcoin capital markets vehicles covering equities, convertible bonds, fixed
income and preferred stocks. Rather than lending money like a traditional bank,
MicroStrategy seeks to borrow money at low interest rates, offering slightly
higher interest rates to lenders, and invests those funds in Bitcoin - with a
"base case" estimated average annual return of 29%.

Cryptocurrency Stakeholders Jarretts Sue IRS Again Over Block Rewards Tax

Tezos network stakeholder Josh Jarrett and his wife Jessica Jarrett are once
again filing a lawsuit against the IRS over the tax treatment of their tokens.
In the latest lawsuit, filed on October 10 in federal court in Tennessee, the
Jarretts argued that the tokens they created through staking should be treated
as property and taxed only when sold, not before.
They argue that staking tokens involves the creation of a "new property" because
no one has owned them before, making them the same as "a farmer's crop, a
writer's manuscript, or a manufacturer's product," and only after any tokens are
sold will be created.
