ACCESS TO MEDICAL RESEARCH JOURNALS MAY 30, 2024 BROOKLYN EAGLE STAFF Share this: FacebookTwitterRedditFlipboardEmailDeel CITYWIDE — FOLLOWING BUDGET CUTS by the Adams administration, New York City’s top health officials will have access to fewer than two dozen medical research journals, the Daily News reported Wednesday. The department has turned to an outside group, the Fund for Public Health in New York, for one-year subscriptions to just 23 medical research journals. Adams’ cuts gutted public funding for the Health Department’s William Hallock Park Memorial Public Health Library, which has provided the Health Department with access to peer-reviewed medical journals, databases, books and other research materials for decades, the News said.
