HOW TO MAKE AN OWL PILLOW WITH YOUR OWN HANDS

THE PILLOW IS VERY COMFORTABLE AND USEFUL THING! IT ALLOWS YOU TO RELAX AND HAVE

To create an owl pillow, you will need: colored cotton, thick cotton fabric
(teak), zipper, felt, thread, needle, sewing machine (optional, you can sew it
by hand), synthetic winterizer filler, textile glue, a piece of leatherette,
newspaper, a simple pencil , scissors, iron, ruler, satin ribbon.



WE SEW AN OWL PILLOW


Draw the contours of the pillow (silhouette of an owl) as shown in the picture.
The base (bottom) of the pillow should be flat. Make two such silhouettes.
Attach the pattern to the teak (thick cotton fabric), allow 2-3 cm of fabric for
the seam allowance and cut the fabric according to the shape of the template.
Lay the pieces right side out. Sew them with a straight regular stitch, leaving
the opening at the bottom unsewn. Cut off the allowances and overlock. Fill the
pillow with sintepon. Sew the hole by hand with a seam over the edge.





WE SEW A PILLOWCASE FOR AN OWL PILLOW


Cut out a 40cm x 40cm newspaper square.
Draw the contours of the pillow (silhouette of an owl) as shown in the picture.
Make the base (bottom) of the pillow even, as there will be a zipper. Make two
such silhouettes. Use the same pattern template. Draw the eyes (two large
circles) and the nose (in the shape of an inverted teardrop) of the owl.
Attach the pattern to the cotton, allow 2-3 cm of fabric for the seam allowance,
and cut the fabric according to the shape of the template.
Cut out the eyes and nose of the owl from the felt. Sew the eyes and nose to the
cotton fabric. If you have a sewing machine, zigzag stitch. Draw eyelashes on
the leatherette and cut them out.
Glue the eyelashes on the owl's eyes with textile glue. Overlock or zigzag the
bottom edge allowances (if you don't have a machine, overcast by hand).




Bend the allowances to the wrong side. Sew on one part of the zipper, the edge
of the fabric should half cover the teeth. Attach the second part of the zipper
in the same way.
Fold the pillow pieces right side up.
Sew them together along the contour with a straight line.
Cut off the seam allowances, then overlock.
Make 4 legs of an owl from fabric as shown in the picture.
Fold the parts in pairs with the right sides inward.
Sew along the outline with a regular straight stitch, but leave the bottom edge
of each pair unsewn. Trim the allowances. Turn and iron the legs, make a line
along the contour. Overlock the unsewn bottom of the legs with an overlock.
Attach the paws over the zipper on the front side of the owl.
Sew on the legs, fold them down, then sew again with a regular straight stitch.
Put the pillowcase on top of the pillow. Fire the ends of the satin ribbon. Tie
a bow on the owl's ear. Sew an owl-boy pillow in the same way, and this couple
will not be left without attention.
