WEEKDONE FULL IMPLEMENTATION – STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE FOR 2024

 * Markus
 * Weekdone Product & Company News

It has been 10 years since Weekdone started providing teams like yours with
world leading team management and goal-setting software.

We’ve been working hard to create something loved by team leaders everywhere.
Our Weekdone software provides any leader with a best practice based team
management software and productivity tool-kit. It allows you to set and track
goals, to review insightful weekly team reports and to run one-on-ones and pulse
surveys. What’s better, Weekdone is free for small teams. Try it out here!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Starting off with OKRs and a new software can be confusing so we’ll try our best
to guide you through the process step-by-step.

Fortunately it is not that difficult. The steps are as follow:

 1. Establish your needs w/ our coach
 2. Establish a distribution of technical responsibilities
 3. Establish a timeline
 4. Bring your company onboard
 5. Add your Quarterly OKRs
 6. Do a weekly check-in
 7. Do a weekly check-in
 8. Do a weekly check-in…
 9. …

1. ESTABLISH YOUR NEEDS W/ OUR COACH

Contact our coaches after you’ve signed up and let us help you with setting up
the account and establishing your processes.

If you’re wary of all the actions these steps might take, don’t worry – we’ll be
going through all of them during our coaching sessions.

2. ESTABLISH A DISTRIBUTION OF TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Next up, decide who will be in charge of updating the goals and metrics as on an
ongoing basis. This is an important step because the OKRs are only useful as
long as their updates are relevant.

3. ESTABLISH A TIMELINE

Weekdone has different elements with different timeframes:

 1. annual OKRs
 2. quarterly OKRs
 3. weekly items
 4. etc…

Pick and choose what you need to track on which levels of company hierarchy and
establish a timeline that goes round in circles and never stops. This way,
comparing current results with last year’s results can bring useful insights.

4. BRING YOUR COMPANY ONBOARD

Make sure to communicate the need for OKRs and the solution of Weekdone to your
team or company. The clock only works as well as its individual cogs.

Don’t worry, we are here to help with that – in addition to your communication,
we will send emails with helpful resources and explanations out to your people
and assist everyone individually as needed.

Plus, we have coaching. And for paying customers, it’s unlimited and free.

5. ADD YOUR QUARTERLY OKRS

Biggest step in making a new methodology work through a new software is to
actually enter your items before perfecting them. As we discussed more deeply in
this year’s ebook “The Game has Changed”, the 80/20 principle of entering
imperfect OKRs for a good starting time will deliver much better results then
trying to perfect your goals before actioning on anything.

Managing OKRs in Weekdone is intuitive and simple.. and powerful. Check out the
visual tutorial with extra tips and master the OKR object in Weekdone.

6. DO A WEEKLY CHECK-IN

Weekly updates and Quarterly OKRs go together like stinky cheese and fine sold
wine. Weekly check-ins help you and your employees communicate on their weekly
plans, progress and problems; share and receive feedback on things done; and
ultimately just keep everyone on the same page with the OKR numbers in Weekdone.

See how the weekly check-in is done by a pro.

7. DO A WEEKLY CHECK-IN

You thought this was a mistake, right. It wasn’t, just trying to communicate
just how important a weekly check-in is!

8. DO A WEEKLY CHECK-IN…

… and do it every week.
