Interdisciplinary Business-Related Research

The National Business and Economics Society is a multi-disciplinary professional
organization which focuses on promoting interdisciplinary research of both a
theoretical and practical nature. It includes scholars and practitioners from
the fields of Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Management, Information Systems,
International Business, Operations Research, Economics, Public Administration,
Health Care Administration, Psychology and other related areas. Our goal is to
broaden the expertise of business academics and practitioners by promoting
access to research and ideas across a span of related disciplines.

Related to this goal, NBES sponsors an annual conference where interested
academics and professionals present their research. These meetings are generally
held in early March in very desirable locations. We believe that NBES fills a
void that currently exists in this area. We are committed to a meeting
atmosphere that is high quality in terms of academic presentations as well as
the hotels and facilities. Each year the conference sights are shifted
geographically to accommodate our membership and we encourage you to check where
the conference has been held in past years and where it is scheduled in the near
future. We believe that you will agree when we suggest that our locations are
“top notch”!

Submission Requirement: Please submit a one to two-page abstract or the complete
paper in Microsoft Word format. Include the names and contact information for
all authors. All submissions undergo a peer review process. For any inquiries,
please direct your questions to info@nbesonline.com. It is important to note
that co-authors cannot be added after a paper has been accepted. Decisions
regarding abstract or paper acceptances will begin to be sent out in October,
2024.

25TH ANNUAL NBES CONFERENCE ST. THOMAS, US VIRGINA ISLANDS 2025


The 25th Annual Conference of the National Business & Economics Society is
scheduled to take place from March 5th through March 8th, 2025, at the Westin
Frenchman’s Reef Resort on St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. Our objective is to
enhance the knowledge base of business school academics and other professionals
by facilitating access to research and ideas across all disciplines. We look
forward to fostering a collaborative environment that encourages the exchange of
insights and promotes continuous learning.

Organization Fees: There is no fee for abstract submission and consideration.
However, conference fees amount to $500 for all attending authors. Additionally,
co-authors who are not attending the conference are required to pay a $120
annual membership fee for inclusion in the conference proceedings.


Conference Hotel: A block of rooms has been reserved at the Westin Frenchman’s
Reef Resort & Spa, situated on the island of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin
Islands. Perched high above the crystal blue waters of the Caribbean Sea, the
resort offers breathtaking views at almost every turn. With an elevated sense of
style inspired by the islands, it provides a world-class resort experience ideal
for conferences. The resort boasts world-class dining options, a luxurious
full-service spa, island excursions, and authentic experiences unique to the
U.S. Virgin Islands – all without requiring a passport. Conveniently located
just six miles from Cyril E. King Airport (STT), the resort can be easily
reached by taxi or rental car. Room rates start at $336, with an additional $25
resort fee that includes a breakfast buffet for one.
