ABOUT THE SASB TAXONOMY

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Value Reporting Foundation (VRF) has published a SASB taxonomy for
environmental, social, and governance (ESG) corporate reporting disclosures
allowing them to be digitized. This enables the reported metrics (accounting and
activity) to be both machine as well as human readable. Analysts and investors
can easily compare ESG metrics across industries, so the transformation to
structured data is extremely beneficial to the transparency and ease of access
of such data.

IN PRACTICE

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The SASB taxonomy allows companies to ‘digitally tag’ ESG information within
their current reporting format, which may include regulatory filings (e.g.,
Forms 10-K/Q with the US SEC, foreign equivalents, etc.). The taxonomy has been
designed to include the disclosure topics associated with accounting metrics and
technical protocols and activity metrics for each industry.

At IRIS CARBON®, a group of XBRL experts studied the SASB taxonomy thoroughly
and used it to tag a report for demonstration purposes. If you would like to get
an idea about how ESG metrics are going to be tagged going forward, have a look
at our sample report below.
