Search for: << Back To AWRI HOME NON-CHEMICAL WEED CONTROL DECISION TOOL When considering which weed control tools to use, it is important to base the decision on your own situation and vineyard characteristics. Factors such as soil type and condition, slope, rainfall, water availability, weed pressure, vine age, vine vigour, fruit end-use targets, weather conditions and compatibility with existing infrastructure and equipment should all be considered. The AWRI has developed a non-chemical weed control decision tool to help growers decide which weed control tools to use. To use the tool, select the rainfall, water availability, weed control area and soil type information that best defines your situation. Press submit to generate a list of non-chemical weed control tools most suited to those characteristics. Click on each tool to access resources that describe the associated benefits, disadvantages and considerations for that tool. Additional resources to help you make your decision can be found on the Non-chemical weed management page. MIMIMUM RAINFALL 250 350 500 250 IS WATER AVAILABILITY LIMITED? Yes No UNDERVINE OR MID ROW?
