WHAT IS THE VIB COMMUNITY?

The ViB community is an active, directly engaged network of millions of
technology decision makers and influencers from several industries, including
software, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and more. ViB helps community members
make critical buying decisions for their organizations by offering curated
private appointments, educational webinars, and access to exclusive content
provided in conjunction with our technology vendor partners. Community members
also provide ViB with regular insight into their ongoing buyer needs so we can
stay involved in helping members continually achieve their goals.

Why do I have to re-register for the new ViB Community Portal?

Due to the technical updates to our ViB Community Portal, all ViB Community
members who were registered for the old version of the ViB Community Portal must
now register again. Please be sure to use your business email as the primary
email, and a personal email as an alternative method to contact you. 

Why am I not receiving a password reset email? 

If you are attempting to reset your password but are not receiving an email to
do so, it’s likely that you have not registered for the new ViB Community
Portal. Please take a moment to register for the new portal. If you are certain
that you have already registered for the new portal experience, please contact
us for assistance.





HOW DO I MAKE SURE I RECEIVE COMMUNICATIONS FROM VIB?

First, make sure your profile accurately reflects your personal and company
data. You may edit your profile here.

To ensure consistent delivery of communications from the ViB Community team,
please whitelist our relevant email domains:

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT PROGRAMS I CAN PARTICIPATE IN?

 * Vendor appointments –  These are 1:1 meetings with a ViB technology partner
   who has a solution that matches a need you identify as part of your member
   profile. Meetings are interactive and work best when the community member
   comes to meetings ready to discuss pain points relevant to their solution
   needs. Given purchasing decisions usually require looking at several vendors,
   community members will be offered the opportunity to schedule meetings with
   more than one ViB technology partner.
 * Webinars – We offer opportunities to learn about solutions from a ViB
   technology partner. There will be multiple attendees in any given webinar and
   opportunities to ask questions, if desired.
 * Content – Often provided as PDF downloads, these are low-lift ways to learn
   about a solution at any time. Some community members may be at the early
   stages of solution investigation, so this aspect of community engagement can
   be very helpful to getting started on a buyer journey.
 * Surveys – Our surveys offer insight into different solutions, offerings from
   technology industry leaders, or generally help to inform ViB of community
   member needs. Participating in surveys directly influences the effectiveness
   of our curation process.

Our programs are designed to introduce products and services to community
members while providing quality leads to our technology partners. These programs
work best if you participate only when the solution or information aligns with
your needs and interests. As such, we reserve the right to decline participation
in any specific program if our community team feels there is a misalignment.


WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO FIND PROGRAMS?

The ViB Community portal is a single source for finding programs that fit your
solution needs. You can log in to the portal at any time and see a list of
curated available programs. We update our database regularly, with well over 100
new programs introduced each month. 

 * We may also email you to let you know about programs that could be of
   interest based on your community profile. New community members should allow
   up to 10 business days to begin receiving these emails. To ensure safe
   delivery of our email, please add the following email addresses to your
   contacts and ask your IT department to whitelist them:

   * Virtual_Intelligence_Briefing@mail.vresp.com 


 


WHY WOULD I BE REJECTED FROM A PROGRAM?

Our technology partners have targeting requirements for their program offerings
to maximize value to their business. Potential reasons for rejection include: 

 * Your community member profile does not meet the target criteria.
 * Your organization is already a customer.
 * The webinar is closed to new registrants.

If you are rejected for a program, we encourage you to apply for others that
could be a fit. 

If you still feel that you are a good fit for a program, you can appeal the
rejection decision by replying directly to the disqualification email you
received. If you are unable to locate the email, you may also appeal by
contacting us with a brief explanation.

HOW DO I RECEIVE ANY EARNED REWARDS FOR PROGRAM PARTICIPATION?

ViB uses incentives in certain circumstances to show appreciation for community
members responding to surveys and, in certain cases, participating in programs.
Incentives often are awarded as gift cards directly from ViB. 

If there are any special terms and conditions to receive or redeem an incentive,
they will be included in communication as part of the program engagement. Gift
cards are usually paid via Tango within seven business days from
noreply@tangocard.com. We are also introducing direct banking options.


IT HAS BEEN 7 DAYS AND I HAVEN’T RECEIVED MY GIFT CARD:

WHEN DO I NEED TO COMPLETE A W-9?

The IRS considers gift cards a form of “other income.” Any individual who is a
US citizen that files US taxes and earns more than $600 USD in incentives in a
calendar year will need to disclose this in their tax filing. The W-9 is needed
for tax filing purposes, specifically for the 1099 form, which ViB needs to
report each year. Community members are reminded to declare the “other income”
to avoid being subject to IRS penalties. 


CAN I REFUSE TO COMPLETE THE W-9?

You have the right to step out of the process. ViB will hold any further
incentives when the W9 limit of $600 is reached and only reinstate them once the
appropriate tax information is provided. Community members can still apply to
programs that do not offer incentives.  Community members are reminded to
declare the “other income” to avoid being subject to IRS penalties. If you have
questions or concerns about this part of the community program, please reach out
to the compliance team at compliance@virtualintelligencebriefing.com.


WHAT IF I AM NOT A US CITIZEN?

If you are not a US citizen and do not reside in the United States but are
subject to IRS tax filing, you will be asked to complete a W-8BEN form instead
of a W-9. It is the non-resident community member’s responsibility to abide by
applicable tax authority in their country.  


WHAT ARE THE STEPS IN THIS TAX PROCESS IF I AM A US RESIDENT?

The community member will be asked to complete the W-9 through the Trolley
payment platform upon registration for the ViB Community portal. The tax form
may also be completed any time by going to your profile through the dashboard.
By January 31 of each year, ViB will use this data to issue you an IRS 1099
statement that includes the amount you earned in the previous tax year. You will
need to include the 1099 form as income when you file your taxes. 


RECEIVING PAYMENTS FROM VIB: I AM HAVING TROUBLE ACCESSING MY TROLLEY ACCOUNT

Try the following:

 * Add “noreply@payouts.virtualintelligencebriefing.com” to your email “safe
   senders” list and/or contacts list.
 * Ensure that you are logging in at
   https://virtualintelligencebriefing.portal.trolley.com.
 * Enter the email registered to your Trolley profile at the login page above
   and click on “Send Verification Code.” This should be your business email
   address unless you previously changed it to your personal email address.
 * If you are having issues logging in to Trolley and have not previously
   changed your email to a personal email address, please contact us for
   assistance.

 

Check your email inbox for the Trolley verification code email sent from
noreply@payouts.virtualintelligencebriefing.com. (Please note that it can take
1-2 minutes for the email to arrive.)


HOW DO I KNOW MY PERSONAL DATA IS SAFE?

ViB uses Trolley, a system that encrypts and maintains confidentiality inside
the platform and prevents any unauthorized access to your tax forms or payment
