COVID-19 FAQ

COVID-19 ANNOUNCEMENT

Attending in-person?

We require proof of vaccination or a valid PCR/Antigen test at registration to
allow entry into Enlit Africa.

PCR/Antigen testing will be available during Enlit Africa at the CTICC as
follows:

Antigen rapid testing (15 minutes turnaround time) - ZAR300
PCR testing (18-24 hour turnaround time) – ZAR650
PCR express testing (5-6 hour turnaround time) – ZAR1 800

If your PCR test expires during the event, you will be required to do a new test
to cover the duration of the event. Badges will be colour coded during the event
to ensure this is monitored and tracked.

WHAT TYPES OF COVID-19 VACCINES ARE ACCEPTABLE?

The following vaccines are recognised by the World Health Organisation and will
be accepted as a valid vaccine:

 * AstraZeneca/Oxford vaccine
 * COVAXIN
 * Covovax
 * Johnson and Johnson
 * Moderna
 * Nuvaxovid
 * Pfizer/BionTech
 * Sinopharm
 * Sinovac

DO YOU NEED TO BE FULLY VACCINATED TO ENTER THE EVENT? WHEN DOES THE LAST DOSE
HAVE TO HAVE BEEN ADMINISTERED?

You either have to be fully vaccinated*, or present a negative PCR test no older
than 72 hours.

*Fully vaccinated here refers to an individual who has received all the
recommended doses of their primary COVID-19 vaccine. The final dose should be
administered at least 14 days before your arrival at the event.

WHAT DOES VACCINE PROOF LOOK LIKE? OFFICIAL CERTIFICATE, QR CODE?

A paper or electronic certificate which contains the following information:

 * Full name
 * Date of birth
 * Vaccine Issued e.g. AstraZeneca, Johnson and Johnson etc.
 * Date of final dose

ARE THERE EXEMPTIONS TO HAVING THE VACCINE?

Yes. Absence of proof of full vaccination will require a negative PCR test,
obtained no more than 72 hours before registering at the event. Please note you
may require multiple tests throughout the week to attend Enlit Afrca.

FOR THOSE WHO AREN’T VACCINATED, IS A LATERAL FLOW OR ANTIGEN TEST SUFFICIENT?
AND WHAT IS ACCEPTABLE AS PROOF OF A NEGATIVE TEST RESULT?

At present and in line with government regulations, the only test accepted is
proof of a PCR test and the test certificate must be shown either electronically
or in paper format. No more than 72 hours from the time taken, you may require
multiple tests throughout the event.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU FORGET YOUR PROOF OF VACCINATION?

In order to avoid having to be tested onsite, ensure that you have sent yourself
an electronic copy of your proof of vaccination. Without proof of
vaccination, you will need to take a PCR test to obtain entrance to the event.

WILL WE HAVE TESTING FACILITIES ONSITE? IF NOT, WHERE CAN PEOPLE GET TESTED?
WHAT IS THE COST?

There will be a walk-in testing centre, operated by Callouts, located on the
ground floor of CTICC2, open daily from Saturday 7 May until the end of the
event. They will be able to provide onsite PCR testing and for any testing
requirements you may have for your journey home. Cash (ZAR or USD) or credit
card are accepted. Please click here to book to avoid queues.

Opening times
Saturday 4 June: 12:00 - 20:00
Sunday 5 June: 10:00 - 20:00
Monday 6 June: 07:00 - 17:00
Tuesday 7 June: 07:30 -17:00
Wednesday 8 June: 07:30 - 17:00
Thursday 9 June: 07:30 - 14:00

Please note that PCR test results are not immediately available, so please make
sure you plan your testing in advance, as your entry into Enlit Africa will be
significantly delayed.

HOW IS ENLIT AFRICA / CTICC GOING TO CHECK IF PEOPLE ARE VACCINATED/TESTED
NEGATIVE? WILL THEY HAVE TO PROVE IT EVERY TIME THEY COME INTO CTICC?

You will need to show your vaccine certificate or PCR test result before
entering the CTICC and proceeding to badge collection.

We are currently working with the CTICC and our security provider on the best
way to manage multi-entry.  We will confirm this shortly or when you collect
your badge.

I AM EXEMPT FROM WEARING A FACE MASK, CAN I STILL COME TO THE EVENT?

As per South African government regulations, there are no exemptions from
wearing face masks applicable at Enlit Africa.

WHAT DOES THE 1M DISTANCING MEAN FOR THEATRE CAPACITIES?

All conference seating will be permitted to fill only 50% of capacity and
seating will be set out 1m apart.

WILL WE BE PROVIDING FACE MASKS TO DELEGATES ONSITE?

We recommend that participants bring an adequate supply of masks for the
duration of the event.
