It is the good decision to read the books on cardiology when you re going to
study or if you are already the student of the cardiology fellowship program.

There is no substitute for self-motivated reading.

This is as true for an attending as it is for fellows. Didactic instruction
cannot replace the reinforcement that comes from reading about the basics of,
say, aortic stenosis after you see a patient with AS. Texts like Braunwald offer
those basics, which the core lectures that most programs provide to fellows then
reinforce. It helps to do focused reading on a topic the day before the lecture
(e.g., reviewing a chapter from the echo text on MR before an echo MR lecture).
I also remind fellows that it takes reading material several times before one
“gets it.” Lastly, point-of-care learning (e.g., PubMed) is essential, so never
hesitate to look up rare entities or even the basics as you see a patient, in
either the inpatient or the outpatient setting.

A disciplined reading plan is crucial. I agree with John that Braunwald (or an
equivalent such as Topol or Hurst) should be your core reading material. I would
suggest case-directed reading to learn the basics about the patients you have
seen. This should be done in “real time,” even when you’re tired, because it
won’t stick if you wait a few days. You also need a regular reading schedule
that is not case-based to fill in gaps and to learn the core concepts for each
rotation.

For example, you must read Feigenbam or another echo book while on echo, a core
cath book on cath, etc. For interesting cases, focused literature searches and
reviews are very important, and learning to do this quickly and efficiently is
an important skill you should work to develop. Remember that as useful as they
are, the textbooks are always out of date for rapidly changing areas.

When should fellows get involved in research? What is opera on macbook pro.
Ryan: The first clinical year is so overwhelming that I think it is very tough
to get involved in research, and I also don’t think it is necessary. The
priority is to develop the skills of a clinical cardiologist. However, once
fellows do get settled in, some take the opportunity to write review articles or
case reports, but again only to complement clinical training, not at the expense
of it.

Kates: Our fellows are encouraged to explore research options during their first
year of training, although the demands of the first clinical year make this
difficult for many. Some of our fellows (such as those who are part of the
Physician Scientist Training Program) have already developed research interests.

For others, though, it is primarily during the first six months of second year
that they begin to form a research proposal, which is then formalized (e.g., IRB
approval, statistical powering) by the beginning of third year. All of our
fellows are expected to engage in scholarly activity, and I believe it helps
them regardless of their ultimate career pathway. De Lemos: This decision
differs greatly from fellow to fellow. I do think that fellows should work to
learn principles of cardiovascular research during the first year, including
critical interpretation of the literature, basic study design and analysis, etc.
I also think that toward the latter half of the first year, the fellows should
try to have an idea of whom they would like to select as a research mentor, and
set up meetings to talk about research with a number of potential mentors. If
you wait until the end of the second year to pick a mentor, it is often
too late.

I'm here at Mobile World Congress 2010 in Barcelona to show you the Sony
Ericsson Vivaz Pro. Now, we've looked at the Sony Ericsson Vivaz before, and
know that it is a slim, multi-media phone.

You might say that Sony Ericsson Vivaz is suffering from a split personality
disorder. On one hand, it's a modern device with a sleek design and a selection
of multimedia features. Look a bit closer, however, and you'll see an operating
system that hasn't stood the test of time.

Sure, the Symbian operating system was perfectly fine three years ago, but in
2010 its features and usability just don't measure up to its Android and iOS
rivals. Indeed, this is one operating system that needs its impending revamp.
Outside of th OS, the Vivaz has a few high points including its camera and music
player, and that attractive design. Call quality was satisfying, as well, though
the sluggish internal performance and resistive touch screen can be tedious to
use. At $79.99 with a and after a $50 mail-in rebate, the Vivaz won't empty your
wallet, but we'd be more inclined to pay a few extra dollars and the extra power
that comes with a device like the. Design We wouldn't blame you if you confused
the Vivaz with a new Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot camera. The tapered ends don't
exactly scream 'phone' and the controls on the left end are similarly deceptive.

It's even worse when you view the handset from behind and see only a camera lens
and flash. Rest assured, however, that the Vivaz is truly a phone that can send
messages and make calls. Multimedia is also part of the story, of course, but
communications is the Vivaz's primary goal. At 4.2 inches long by 2 inches wide
by 0.5 inch deep, the Vivaz shows that the thin phone is not dead.

On the whole, it's an attractive device, though the glossy skin can attract its
share of smudges. Sony makes the device in four colors, but AT&T opted only to
pick up the galaxy blue model.

The Venus ruby handset also will be available for a limited time, but you'll
have to go the unlocked route if you prefer the cosmic black or moon silver
hues. The Vivaz's rear side is curved to match the natural curve of your hand.
Since Sony Ericsson highlighted that feature when it the Vivaz last February, we
were eager to see the final result. By all means, it does make a comfortable
feel, though the Vivaz also wobbles slightly when it's resting on a table. The
Vivaz weighs 3.4 ounces, which makes it neither too light nor too heavy, though
we'd be wary of damaging the plastic skin with too many drops on a hard surface.
Below the display are the Vivaz's few physical navigation controls: the Talk and
End buttons and a Home key.

Other navigation options, like a soft key and a back button, are built into the
display as touch controls. On the right spine, you'll find the volume rocker and
shortcuts for the still camera and camcorder. The rocker is easily accessible
when you're on a call, but it's also easy to press the camera shutter
accidentally when holding the Vivaz in your left hand. Lastly, the power control
is located all by itself on the top of the phone. The Vivaz has a standard
Micro-USB port and a 3.5mm headset jack. We're grateful that Sony Ericsson chose
standard ports and connection for the Vivaz. A 3.5mm headset jack and
Micro-USB/charger port rest conveniently on the phone's left side and a microSD
card slot is behind the battery cover.

7 DAYS TO DIE MOD LAUNCHER

The ItemIconTest folder needs to go in the Mods folder in the main 7 Days to Die
folder. If you don't have a Mods folder, just add it yourself, then copy the
ItemIconTest folder into it. Keep the contents of the ItemIconTest folder as
they are; you do not need to move any files from within it to any other
location.

Your steam account is private and cannot be seen by others. To connect your
account click Settings -> Steam Account on the left. 1) Currently, prefabs are
not loaded from the Mods folder. Hopefully this will be a feature sometime. I'm
looking at that now.

To answer #3, no, it was before I updated last night. I was coming hom then
updated the launcher and it all screwed up when I was synching. Then the
launcher deleted all of my mods, and I installed them again, pressed play and
again deleted ALL mods, installed again. This was taking around 45 minutes, and
the launcher froze a lot.

After the game started it was full of red error messages, and I couldn't create
a game. Afterwards, I closed the launcher and started the game manually over
steam, but with the same mods and it worked finding no errors. I think if I
delete the game and mods and the launcher and re-install all, there won't be any
new problems, but I'm so tired after work, it'll have to wait until the weekend.
I'll let you know how it goes. PS: When I started modding, it became like a new
drug to me after work, all day, and I only sleep 3 hours a day. I sleep so

11/4/2014 8:20 PM I have a Backup UPS NS 1080. There is some strange behavior
with the controlled outlets since I have upgraded to Mac OSX Yosemite. I have
set the threshold repeatedly (twice with the tutelage of APC support folks on
the phone). The second time we plugged a floor lamp into the controlled outlet
and it went on and off repeatedly after we set the threshold. I have set the
threshold both with the computer (a late 2013 iMac) asleep and turned off. Yet,
nothing seems to work.

APC thought perhaps the unit was faulty and replaced it, but the problem
persists with the new unit. Computer asleep and the controlled outlet(s) are
going on and off. Only a problem because I have the computer speakers plugged
into one of the controlled outlets and I can hear the subwoofer loudly 'pop'
when it turns on and off while the computer is asleep. Any ideas how to resolve
this?
