FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


WHAT DOES IT COST TO ORDER A (EG. 36B) BRA?

I don't work according to standard shop sizes and will require exact measurement
of both your breasts.

Based on these true measurements and your choice of design materials and extras
eg. lace, I can calculate the price.

Prices range from R400. You can follow the instructions for measuring your bust
here.

Courier cost is excluded in the final price and I use Courier Guy/Pudo for most
deliveries at a cost of R100.


WHAT MATERIALS DO YOU USE FOR YOUR BRAS?

All my bras are fully lined and made with Scuba with the inside lining made from
Polyester Tricot.

I will also use Galoon lace, Powermesh, Softnit, Cotton Lycra, Lycra, Duoplex*,
Simplex*, Polyester Tricot, Rigid lace and Embroided lace. 

My special occasion bras are made from the highest quality imported lace,
duplex, simplex, sheer cup lining, powernet and other quality fabrics.

Bras can be with or without wires (including vertical* and heavy duty wires*)
depending on the design requirements.

*These are usually imported and thus more expensive.


CAN YOUR SPORTSBRA HANDLE VERY BIG BREASTS?

Yes, the bra is very supportive and can handle very large breasts. Contact me if
you are unsure.


HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR ME TO GET A CUSTOM MADE BRA FROM YOU?

I have a waiting list of about 4 weeks (it might change if there is load
shedding or some other natural disasters)

After we have determined your size and order and customers pay a 50% deposit, 
and are put on the order list. The balance is paid when I start with your bra.

When I start with your bra - I will contact you, to choose your fabric and
discuss other requirements you might have. Imported or custom fabrics will have
a surcharge.


WHY IS IT MORE/SO EXPENSIVE COMPARED TO A STORE BRA?

An Instagram song comes to mind...
1. It is custom made just for your body.
2. You pick your own material.
3. I have been a seamstress for 35 years (specializing in underwear for 5
years).
4. You are welcome read the feedback & reviews from previously satisfied
customers, if you need more convincing.
5. Everything from the cutting to the sewing is made by myself, therefore you
are assured of the highest quality product. That is why some of my special
occasion bras can take up to 3 days to complete.


WHAT STOPS ME FROM DOING IT MYSELF?

Not much. If you have a good sewing machine, the patience and materials, you can
make your own bra in no time. I also teach groups how to make their own bras.
