few ill-timed inaccurate throws and a number of third- and fourth-down failures. Carr totally misread the coverage on his interception. Carr’s 2023 has been a rollercoaster, but there could be another peak in Week 17 against the

is an outing that is going to be hard to survive if it went on your ledger in the fantasy semifinals, though Kamara will be right back in the RB1 ranks for Week 17 against the Bucs. </div>

an absurd sliding, sideline catch on the opening play of the second half. You could <i>feel </i>his production this evening. He went out and took the yards. The Giants are a plus Week 17 matchup for the fantasy finals. </div>

Rams’ Week 16 win over the Saints.
Stunningly, Robinson has now scored in four straight contests. His 82 yards were
a new season high and the fourth most of his career. He has supplanted Tutu
Atwell as the No. 3 wideout behind Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua and is doing his
best to generate desperation WR4 value for the final weeks of the regular
season. The Giants are an exploitable Week 17 matchup if you find yourself
running low on options in a deeper league.
Taysom Hill
NO Quarterback #7
8hTaysom Hill rushed two times for two yards in the Saints’ Week 16 loss to the
Rams.
Egads. Hill was not targeted in the passing game and did not attempt a throw. He
has now been limited to two touches in back-to-back outings, turning into a
fantasy pumpkin at the worst possible time. Tampa in Week 17 does not profile as
a “Taysom spot,” as the Bucs remain more exploitable through the air than on the
ground.
Derek Carr
NO Quarterback #4
8hDerek Carr completed 27-of-40 passes for 319 yards, three touchdowns, and an
interception in the Saints’ 30-22, Week 16 loss to the Rams.
Carr’s box score was a comeback mode box special after the Saints trailed 27-7
at the 5:42 mark of the third quarter. Carr’s second and third touchdowns came
in the final 6:33 as he hit A.T. Perry for a 35-yard single-coverage strike
after previously finding Juwan Johnson for a five-yarder. His first half score
was a beautifully lofted 45-yard deep ball to Rashid Shaheed. Those highlights
were interspersed amongst a few ill-timed inaccurate throws and a number of
third- and fourth-down failures. Carr totally misread the coverage on his
interception. Carr’s 2023 has been a rollercoaster, but there could be another
peak in Week 17 against the Bucs’ pass-funnel defense.
Alvin Kamara
NO Running Back #41
8hAlvin Kamara rushed nine times for 19 yards in the Saints’ Week 16 loss to the
Rams, adding five receptions for 16 yards.
You can go ahead and call this one a “fantasy fiasco.” Without Kamara’s five
empty calorie receptions it might have gone down as an all-time bad fantasy
playoffs performance. It was still bad enough, though not exactly Kamara’s fault
in a game the Saints trailed by two scores early in the second quarter. The
deficit ballooned to 27-7 midway through the third before the Saints finally
mounted any effort whatsoever. This is an outing that is going to be hard to
survive if it went on your ledger in the fantasy semifinals, though Kamara will
be right back in the RB1 ranks for Week 17 against the Bucs.
Chris Olave
NO Wide Receiver #12
9hChris Olave caught 9-of-13 targets for 123 yards in the Saints’ Week 16 loss
to the Rams.
Despite playing on a bum ankle, Olave ended up posing new season highs for both
catches and yards. The tone was set on the opening drive when Olave snagged
three balls for 36 yards. Olave did seem to maybe still be favoring his foot,
typically going down instead of fighting for extra yards or risking a big hit,
but it had the feel of veteran savvy for a banged-up player. The second-year pro
has now exceeded 100 yards in three of his past four appearances. His chemistry
with Derek Carr remains ... interesting, but the duo is doing all it can to
produce WR1 numbers ahead of a Week 17 date with the Bucs’ soft pass defense.
Kyren Williams
LAR Running Back #23
9hKyren Williams rushed 22 times for 104 yards and a touchdown in the Rams’ Week
16 win over the Saints.
Unusually, Williams was not targeted in the passing game, but the 100-yard
rushing effort is becoming quite usual. He has now done so each of the past
three weeks, and six times in his past eight games. Elite, league-winning stuff.
Williams managers were going crazy tonight as he got stuffed on one goal-line
carry after another before finally converting from a more exotic 10 yards out in
the third quarter. This man keeps on running, running, running and now gets a
ground-funnel Giants defense for the fantasy finals in Week 17.
Puka Nacua
LAR Wide Receiver #17
9hPuka Nacua caught 9-of-11 targets for 164 yards and a touchdown in the Rams’
Week 16 win over the Saints.
Nacua added two carries for a rugged 16 ground yards. The 164 receiving was a
new career-high for the otherworldly rookie, who is now up to 96 receptions
through 15 games. The touchdown was somehow only his fifth, though he could have
had a sixth had Matthew Stafford not missed a wide-open red zone look. For the
score the duo did convert, Nacua simply beat his man to the spot on a two-yard
end zone grab. Nacua made an absurd sliding, sideline catch on the opening play
of the second half. You could feel his production this evening. He went out and
took the yards. The Giants are a plus Week 17 matchup for the fantasy finals.
