HI I'M MARK AUMAN

Design | Programming | Production



WELCOME TO MY PORTFOLIO

Hi, I'm Mark Auman and I am a game developer based in Brisbane. I have been
developing games since 2013 primarily using Unity.  


I am currently studying Bachelor of Games and Interactive Environments at the
Queensland University of Technology (Major: Game Design, Minors: Software
Technologies and CGI) where I have worked on the design and programming of
various projects, along with being closely involved in their management and
production. Thus, I specialise and want to work within roles related to design,
programming and production.

COLLAGIONARY

Roles on Project: Designer, Programmer & Producer

 Collagionary is a social multiplayer game where players put together collages
for other players to guess and earn points. Get a group of friends together and
take turns putting together collages to represent words using a library of
various bits and bobs. Guess the word your friends are trying to collage before
time runs out to earn points and win the game!


This project was originally developed as part of the IGB400: Game Studio 3 unit
at QUT. We were tasked with conceptualising a project that would fill a gap in
our skillset and portfolio.

SANTA'S WORKSHOP WHIRLWIND 

Roles on Project: Lead Designer, Programmer, Producer & Art

 Santa's Workshop Whirlwind is a VR game designed for the Meta Quest 2 Headset.
Players play as an elf who has found that they along with the rest of the elves
have been put to sleep for the whole year by the antagonist of the game,
Krampus. 

As one of the elves, it is up to you to grab toys children request off of
conveyor belts, pack them into gift boxes and then throw them down chutes.
Complete all the gift requests before time runs out in order to save Christmas!
Be wary, as Krampus is still up to his mischief and will try to corrupt fellow
elves to stop you from completing your goal...

AWIC: BREAKING GROUND 

Roles on Project: Lead Designer, Programmer, UI Development & Mobile Developer

AWIC: Breaking Ground is a turn-based game where the player is a construction
manager tasked with planning and building home construction projects. To
complete a project, players will have to manage a team of workers skilled in
different professions such as carpenters, plumbers and electricians, to perform
tasks on the construction site. Through this gameplay, our goal is to make our
players fascinated with the construction process & determined to build the best
homes they can.

THE TYRANT'S CASTLE 

Roles on Project: Lead Designer, Lead Artist, Light Baking & Programming

 The Tyrant's Castle was a project developed for the IGB321 - Immersive Game
Level Design unit at QUT. It was a group project wherein we had to develop a set
of level tiles, and used them to construct three levels. In the Tyrant's Castle,
you play as The Revenant, a soldier who has been captured by The Tyrant King and
his forces, who have destroyed your home land. With the help of an ally guard
who sets you free, you are set on the path of vengeance, making your way up the
castle in order to kill the Tyrant King and end his reign.
