Buena Tile + Stone directly imports the majority of our stone inventory from
around the world.  These relationships and visits to quarries + processors allow
us to offer not only the highest quality product in each category, they allow us
to customize texture, formatting, thickness and edging for indoor + outdoor,
commercial and residential projects. We invite you to visit our showrooms to see

who complement our own import program with their own versions of high end

Buena has participated in a tremendous range of projects since 1976:
institutional, hospitality, medical + restaurants along with tenant improvement
projects of all types; we can not only supply product, we are experts in
specification and technical processes.  Design-Supply and project
value-engineering services are available.




CUSTOM RESIDENTIAL

Estate homes, whether they are on the beach, in wine country or on a ranch
tucked into the hillsides and canyons of the Central Coast, these homes are a
strength of ours.  Stones manipulated to the desire of the owner or designer;
concrete + high-fired pavers for a lifetime of use; bespoke design elements and
product sourcing are available to make your signature project just that: Yours.




RESIDENTIAL REHAB

Just like you, we live in homes that need remodeling.  We work with architects,
designers + contractors to transform your space into your dream and not just
your budget.


PRICING + SERVICES

Buena Tile + Stone offers a package of design services tailored to the needs of
each client. These services are complementary upon the purchase of materials and
the price listed next to each represents the upfront charge for each activity.
All charges are reimbursed based on purchase threshold. – Specification writing
and library services are available upon request.




APPOINTMENTS

There is no charge for a design appointment at Buena. A staff designer will be
made available for an appointment if one is scheduled. Walk-ins are on a
first-come basis with the designers on staff that day. After hour appointments
are available.

In preparation for your appointment: Magazine clippings or a Houzz account are
very useful to understand your goals.

The swatches of materials on your project: paint colors, cabinetry samples,
countertop swatch + fabric are all good examples of design coordinates to bring.

Any blueprints or project drawings (even a hand-sketch) are quite useful for
determining space and budget.


SITE VISITS

Santa Barbara and Ventura local markets: $150

Out-markets: $250

National + International sites: At market rate

The site visit is utilized to understand the environment that the project is
part of. Pictures, measurement of the space, design elements and color palette
are part of the process (Fully refundable).


PROJECT DRAWINGS

$150 per bathroom; $300 for whole floor/patio. CAD or Color Renderings are
developed to provide an overview of format and layout to give the end user a
better idea of the space. In conjunction with a color board or samples, the
client should have a strong idea of space realization. In addition, shop
drawings give the client a superior tool in getting qualified bids and project
expectations achieved (Fully refundable).

Note: drawings remain the property of Buena Tile until a 25% deposit, based on
the estimated job value, has been received.


PRODUCT DESIGN

Because of our relationships with factories, Buena has the ability to design
products unique to the end user’s needs: our stone quarries, concrete plants,
glass suppliers and ceramic artisans all are capable of producing unique,
one-of-a-kind concepts that will add a signature element to your project.
These material customizations can be accomplished for modest supplements to your
project budget. In addition to the factory production, after market
water-jetting can provide project enhancement. 

Custom design pieces are charged a strike-off cost to capture the cost of the
production. That sample will be credited back upon the placement of the order.
International freight will not be credited if used.

If you desire copyrighted material for your business or project, we will be
happy to work with your agency or designer to produce your logo, signage or
other signature feature.


CONTRACTOR REFERRALS

We are limited in our ability to refer contractors because they are not
employees of ours. However, we will provide 2-names as a reference for bidding
purposes. We accept no responsibility for any claims against a contractor, nor
will Buena be responsible for the performance of any contractor’s work.

FORENSICS

There are many opportunities for projects to have issues: leaking in showers or
on decks; cracking + heaving floors; delamination of material from the
substrate, etc. Failures or issues with a tile installation are not always what
they appear to be and at times it takes an expert to analyze just what went
wrong. Buena utilizes the recommendations of the Tile Council of North America
(TCNA) as the industry reference for installation processes. In turn, the TCNA
will, at their discretion, utilize a particular manufacturer’s guidelines when
and if they go beyond the TCNA requirements.

Manufacturer’s warranties are a valuable protection against failure and we
encourage their use on all installations.

Costs for forensic evaluation vary according to need. Many times a tech rep for
the manufacturer can make a site visit at no charge to investigate if it is
warranty work on product we have sold. If the project was not supplied by Buena,
then a quotation will be prepared in advance.

Quotations for insurance case preparation are $250.


TECHNICAL + MAINTENANCE

BUENA TILE + STONE REPRESENTS THE BEST INSTALLATION SYSTEM MANUFACTURERS IN OUR
INDUSTRY.  WE ALSO UTILIZE THE TILE COUNCIL OF NORTH AMERICA (TCNA) HANDBOOK AS
OUR REFERENCE POINT FOR TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS.  THE BRAND ICONS TO THE RIGHT
WILL ALL CARRY THEIR SPECIFICATION, WARRANTY AND MSDS INFORMATION.  BUENA’S
LIMITED LIABILITY ACCEPTS NO RESPONSIBILITY OR LIABILITY FOR ANY AND ALL CLAIMS
OUTSIDE OF THE MANUFACTURER’S WRITTEN WARRANTY.
