DESIGNTÄVLING FÖR ARKITEKTSTUDENTER

Nu bjuder vi in Sveriges framtida arkitekter till Weland Next Step – en
designtävling för spiraltrappor.

Tävlingen genomförs i samarbete med Sveriges Arkitekter. Bidragen kommer att
bedömas av vår jury utifrån kriterierna arkitektonisk gestaltning, innovation i
konstruktion och estetik samt genomförbarhet.

Vinnaren får förverkliga sin idé med en unik prototyp tillverkad i vår fabrik.
Prototypen kommer att ställas ut på byggmässan Nordbygg 2024, där vinnaren även
presenteras från stora scenen.

Underbara omöjliga spiraltrappa

Ta fram en spiraltrappa, som förutom sin grundläggande funktion, överraskar med
innovativa grepp. Konstruktionen får vara högst 3 meter hög och ska ha en stomme
av stål.

VARFÖR GÖR WELAND EN ARKITEKTTÄVLING?

Vi vill tillsammans med morgondagens arkitekter utforska vad nästa steg är för
spiraltrappan. Vad kan spiraltrappan vara utöver sin givna funktion?

VAD GÅR TÄVLINGEN UT PÅ?

Tävlingen går ut på att ta fram ett förslag till en spiraltrappa som förutom sin
grundläggande funktion överraskar med innovativa grepp. Konstruktionen får vara
högst 3 meter hög från golv till plan plus 1,1 meter planräcke. Trappan skall ha
en stomme av stål.

VEM FÅR TÄVLA?

Tävlingen är öppen för studenter inom Sveriges samtliga arkitektdiscipliner vid
SLU, KTH, LTH, Chalmers tekniska högskola, Umeå universitet, LTU, BTH, Konstfack
och HDK. Studenter vid andra universitet eller högskolor är välkomna att delta i
samarbete med en arkitektstudent. Du kan delta ensam eller som ett team.

VILKA KRITERIER BEDÖMS MITT BIDRAG PÅ?

Förslagen kommer att bedömas utifrån följande kriterier, utan inbördes ordning:

* Arkitektonisk gestaltning
* Innovationsnivån i konstruktion och estetik
* Genomförbarhet för tillverkning av prototyp

DATORRENDERAD BILD ELLER ETT FOTO AV EN FYSISK MODELL?

Nej. Rendering eller avfotograferad modell för visualisering är valfritt. Välj
det som gör ditt förslag mest rättvisa, men se till att ge en tydlig bild av din
lösning. Notera att fysiska modeller ej accepteras i inlämningen.

NÄR ÄR SISTA INLÄMNINGSDATUM?

Sista datum för inlämning är den 25 september 2023, kl 17.

HUR LÄMNAR JAG IN MITT BIDRAG?

Tävlingsförslaget ska vara presenterat på stående A3-format, max tre sidor.
Förslaget ska innehålla en plan och en sektion i skala 1:20, beskrivande texter
samt en enkel visualisering. Visualiseringen ska vara fri från texter.

Mejlet med det inskickade bidraget som bifogad fil (PDF, max 20 MB) fungerar som
namnsedel och ska innehålla information om namn på
bidragsställaren/bidragsställarna samt adress, telefon och e-post.

Förslaget ska laddas upp digitalt på welandnextstep.se senast den 25 september
kl 17.00.

VAD KAN MAN VINNA?

Vinnaren får förutom prissumman som kommuniceras i tävlingsprogrammet, utveckla
sin idé till en färdig prototyp som kommer att visas på Nordbygg 2024.

Samtliga tävlingsbidrag kommer att publiceras på Sveriges Arkitekters hemsida
samt på welandnextstep.se.

Utvalda förslag kommer att publiceras i sociala medier och i Welands övriga
kommunikation.

NÄR KORAS VINNAREN?

Tre pristagare (1:a, 2:a och 3:e) offentliggörs under vecka 47.

VEM KAN JAG KONTAKTA VID FRÅGOR?

Eventuella frågor om tävlingen ska ställas till tävlingsfunktionären skriftligt
via mejl: nextstep@weland.se under fram till 11 September. Svar på frågor ges
till 15 september, med undantag för semestertid (vecka 27-31). Märk all
korrespondens med ”Weland Next Step.

anställning i efter avslutad utbildning.
