The Pharmacy education and profession in India upto graduate level is regulated
by the PCI, a statutory body governed by the provisions of the Pharmacy Act,
1948 passed by the Parliament.

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) was set up in November 1945 as
a national-level Apex Advisory Body to conduct a survey on the facilities
available for technical education

Bar Council of India is a statutory body that regulates the legal practice and
legal education in India. Its members are elected from amongst the lawyers in
India and as such represents the Indian bar.

The NATIONAL ASSESSMENT AND ACCREDITATION COUNCIL (NAAC) conducts assessment and
accreditation of Higher Educational Institutions (HEI) such as colleges,
universities or other recognised institutions to derive an understanding of the
‘Quality Status’ of the institution

The University Grants Commission of India is a statutory body set up by the
Government of India in accordance to the UGC Act 1956 under the Ministry of
Education, and is charged with coordination, determination and maintenance of
standards of higher education.

This framework outlines a methodology to rank institutions across the country.
The methodology draws from the overall recommendations broad understanding
arrived at by a Core Committee set up by MHRD, to identify the broad parameters
for ranking various universities and institutions.

Indian Nursing Council is a national regulatory body for nurses and nurse
education in India. It is an autonomous body under the Government of India,
Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, constituted by the Central Government under
section 3(1) of the Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947 of Indian parliament.

National Medical Commission is an Indian regulatory body of 33 members which
regulates medical education and medical professionals. It replaced the Medical
Council of India on 25 September 2020.
