Welcome to the THWACK® Space Center and the latest in Mission CTRL technology.
Our job is to safely guide the S.W. Observability along as it gathers new
information about what lies ahead of us. To help you get up to speed quickly,
we’ve come up with 20 questions so you may better understand the abilities of
this new Mission CTRL equipment. Also provided is a copy of the Mission CTRL
Standard Operating Manual to equip you for mission success. Please refer to this
when needed.
Over the next 20 days, we’ll look at how Hybrid Cloud Observability can gather
the information needed to understand and find solutions to problems in your
day-to-day operations. We’ll explore its benefits, including integrating with
other tools, and see how it can help you discover the root cause of issues. The
goal of this mission: provide a better understanding of how Hybrid Cloud
Observability isn’t a revolution of our current offerings but is the next
evolution in monitoring.
JUNE MISSION
Use the mission’s resources to complete the tasks and answer the questions for a
chance to win!
Answer each question correctly during the week and you'll be entered for a
chance to win the weekly prize.
Answer all 20 questions correctly over the course of the month and you'll be
entered for a chance to win the grand prize.
150 points are being awarded for each correctly answered question. There are 20
questions, which means you can earn a maximum of 3,000 points for this mission.

A new question will open every day (Monday - Friday) starting on June 6, 2022.
Once a question has opened, it will remain open until July 3, 2022 at 11:59 p.m.

MISSION SHORTCUT
Here at THWACK® Space Center, we don’t believe in shortcuts. But since we only
have 20 days to get you through this training, Commander Sparenberg and Lt. Keen
have agreed to allow this one-time exception. Oh, who am I kidding—we all love a
good shortcut, and this month is no different. Complete the steps below between
June 6 and July 3 to be entered into a drawing to win a AuKing Mini Projector!
An additional 1,000 points will be added to your THWACK account just for
completing the shortcut.
Shortcut steps:
1. Navigate to the new SolarWinds® Hybrid Cloud Observability online demo site
NOTE: Use an incognito window or clear your cache/cookies if this link gives
you any issues.
2. Navigate to “Manage Dashboards” and select the “Executive Dashboard”
3. Within the “Executive Summary” view, take a screenshot of the “server
backups” widget and tell us how many server backups have failed in the last
24 hours

Agreed this is a better hint resource. The question should also indicate
to select all that apply...not everyone understands the selection boxes vs.
the round radio buttons.

Just to be clear, due to the issues with the surveys, the winner each
week is based on getting 4 out of 5 answers correct. This way it's fair
for everyone. I think I've worked the bugs out but I can't "fix" it
without asking everyone to redo their answers. Points for the surveys
will be awarded as part of the month-end activities.
